It's a crowded field. No one knows what will happen with the noms, except that Mikey Madison is a sure thing and Demi Moore increasingly seems so. I think Kidman makes it in, but it's not certain. Erivo, Jolie, Gascon, Torres, Jean-Baptiste...any of them could make it in, any of them could miss.

Anora completely blanked at the globes. Even Mikey is not a sure thing.

She's a sure thing for a nom, not even a question.

Alana Haim and Licorice pizza. She's not a lock at all. And Anora can easily follow the same path LP did

Angelina is everywhere, campaigning. She is desperate for an Oscar. However, she was just snubbed from the BAFTA long list today. She will be lucky to even get a nomination, let alone her delusions of winning.

She was awkward in the roundtable, really doesn't know how to join in conversations. Unlike Tilda and Demi, who are so warm and friendly. Jolie has weird, packaged sound bites as answers and doesn't engage well with others. Trots out "community" but when has she used her power and wealth to create community for other women in Hollywood?

I don't care for Angelina Jolie as an actress, but I think that's very unfair criticism. Not everyone is warm and outgoing. It's okay. Not right to criticize a person's shyness.

I don't think that's a strong comparison. Madison got every precursor nomination, with numerous wins. Haim was far more sporadic. I don't think Madison is a sure thing for the win, but it is absolutely certain she gets the nomination.

Regional critics really aren't the industry. I never count them. Haim was nominated for CCA, BAFTA, and the Globes but it went downhill from there. She had been in the top 2 similar to Madison. I think she will still be nominated but she's not a lock after last night

GG have always been viewed as eccentric, and less a predictor, than the other awards. Don't think results last night mean much except that more Oscar voters are likely to put I'm Still Here on their watch list. And it's evidence of Moore's ongoing surge, which is well timed.

Which is strange because she’s always presented herself in the past as
bold and confident while laying on the charm. Not at all awkward.

Marriage, motherhood, health challenges, and aging changed her. It happens. She strikes me as a shy, somewhat anxious person now. Doesn't put herself out there like she did when she was young, and leads a pretty reclusive life with her kids.

I completely disagree, she was certainly captivating in her younger days, but never came across as charming or good at playing the Hollywood game.

She has longstanding mental illnesses. Maybe that’s part of it too.

Angelina did not portray Maria Callas. They included footage of the real Calls at the end of the film. Angelina did not capture her spirit or personality at all. She did an awful job, especially with the lip synching.

She was snubbed at the SAG Awards today, even though her film’s distributor, Netflix, airs the awards and is known to get its actors lots of nominations. She cannot act. She has been everywhere, campaigning, acting as if she is the Queen of Hollywood, and her peers can’t wait to crown her. She’s figuring out how little talent her peers think she has and how little regard people in the industry have for her.

Doesn't Brad PR say this? Are you okay 💀 Anway THE Nicole Kidman was snubbed today. It's not personal to Angelina. 9/10 her "peers" aren't on the negotiating committee anyway. Random extras and lower tier are usually chosen.

Lord I hope she doesn't get an Oscar nom, because then the interviews about her SUFFERING will cease. And we'll never hear another word about how "meaningful" her experience with Callas was, just like there was never another word about Zamperini once that awards campaign ended. I wonder what happened to the shoe necklace they made the most publicity-friendly child Shiloh wear to the Unbroken premiere. With the custody battle settled in her favor, all she needed was kids by her side this time to make a statement. Less was more.

She won’t get an Oscar nom. She’s been snubbed by the main precursors and critics groups. No one is buying her victimhood narrative. I think it’s turning people off, because Brad is much more liked in the industry than she is.

It has literally nothing to do with Brad when Nicole Kidman and Kate Winslet are snubbed for the likes of Pamela Anderson. She wasn't snubbed by all the main precursors either. Stop blaming Brad for everything weirdo. Did he also block Nicole and Kate?
