Also all the fools that do jail time and now have a criminal record while trump has several time admitting he lost, are probably not too happy. |
I’ll concede that a few Dems occasionally tell small fibs. But by and large, Democrats are uniformly honest and love and care about fixing this country from the horrific state it’s in. republicans on the other hand want to destroy it a sell it out to the Russians and Chinese. |
As an aside, this is not the case. There was an Apple News+ podcast this week by the New Yorker that said these guys are in “patriot alley” in the DC jail and are literally doing podcasts, kicking out prisoners they don’t like, and have massive funding. They are ruling the roost. It was truly frightening. |
We really really do. |
All politicians occasionally tell small lies to cover their asses. Republicans on the other hand not only lie habitually, they routinely go out of their way to make the most hateful and vicious kinds of lies, with Trump, MTG, Jim Jordan and others right at the top of that pile. Also, if "Democrats are weaponizing the government with lawfare and spying against their political opponents" then why aren't MTG, Jordan and so many others being indicted, convicted, sitting in courtrooms? It's because unlike Trump they mostly just lie. Trump commits crimes AND lies. The whole narrative of "weaponizing the government against political opponents" is just another one of their hateful, vicious lies, meant to sow distrust in basic law and order. |

This (detestable) WSJ opinion writer Republican is not having it:
Trump Is Looking Like a Loser Again - About one third of his remarks at last week’s press conference were false, obtuse or lunatic. Gift article: https://www.wsj.com/opinion/trump-is-looking-like-a-loser-again-mar-a-lago-news-conference-2024-election-02ec5c8f?st=Kn4sjz&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink Choice quotes: "By my calculation, about one-third of Mr. Trump’s remarks fell into three categories: false, obtuse or lunatic. I’m not even talking here about the usual grotesque hyperbolic assertions or baffling verbal manufactures, the finest of which last week was surely the description of “people dying financially because they can’t buy bacon.” I am talking about things like these: • The argument that he must have won Georgia in 2020 because he easily won Alabama and South Carolina, suggesting he thinks that Georgia—which has two Democratic senators, and which two Democrats have carried in the last eight presidential elections—is politically indistinguishable from states that no Democratic candidate has carried since 1976. • The claim that the crowd at his Jan. 6, 2021, rally was as big as the one at Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech in 1963. • The assertion that everyone in America agreed that Roe v. Wade needed to be overturned. We can add to this his failure to identify Gov. Tim Walz, Ms. Harris’s running mate, by name, but warning that this anonymous figure was “heavy into the transgender world,” a pregnant remark that conjured up an image of a slightly pudgy 60-year-old Minnesotan showing up for affairs of state in a tutu. False, obtuse, lunatic. Often, like those Venn diagrams Ms. Harris is fond of, the remarks combined two of the three. On at least one occasion—Mr. Trump’s detailed recounting of an imaginary helicopter ride he took with Willie Brown, the former mayor of San Francisco—we got the full triple intersect. " |
I actually agree that a lot of people care about J6. But it isn't an event in a vacuum. I care about it but the subsequent Biden presidency and its failings has caused J6 to fall way way down. The border, soft crime policies, international turmoil, inflation. All of those things plus the incredible lies we were told about Biden's cognitive ability. Those things really dropped J6 down. And frankly, the lies and distortion about Biden, and the total lack of interest (or visibility) of Harris did not help them earn trust. So when I have to choose, I think about all the yuck from both sides. And yeah, my grocery bill is HUGE. I work for the federal government. Our pay increases have not kept up at all. So do I like J6? No. Bad day. But is that the defining issue for me? Not at all. |

^ He hate Harris, BTW, and used to be Editor in Chief of the WSJ, where he retains a column.
|
And it’s objectively and provably wrong. |
So are you planning ahead on how to handle what Trumpflation is going to do for your grocery bill? Tariffs on imported food is going to impact you. |
We care. A lot. |
No. We just think you are dumb as a box of rocks to believe anything he says. Or to think he is a good businessman. Or to think he has the country's best interest in mind. Etc. |
He literally fomented a violent insurrection to attempt a coup and illegally retain power. The fact that he and his brownshirts were too incompetent to succeed doesn't change the fact that it happened. |
+1. We are not fine with the Confederate flag inside our Capitol. Of course, Trump wants to restore the military base names honoring Confederate generals so I guess it wasn't a problem for him. |
You're both morons then. "The modern left" want affordable healthcare for all, legal abortions, and a more progressive tax policy. That's basically as far left as any Democratic politician with any power goes. I don't know what exactly you're referring to when you say "the modern left" if you were ok with Obama because the actual modern left is literally just trying to continue Obama's policies. I'm sure you'll ramble on about some right wing troll talking point nonsense like forcing 10 years olds to get gender reassignment surgery or litter boxes in classrooms, but if that's the case it only proves that you are in fact brainwashed because those things simply aren't real, and the only people who actually believe in them are right wing idiots who fell for propaganda and a handful of left wing fringe loonies who are nowhere near and never will be anywhere near the levers of power. Meanwhile on the other hand, you've apparently let yourself be convinced that the guy with "concepts of a plan" has any solutions to anything whatsoever. All you needed to be swayed was someone telling you "we're gonna have the best [insert thing] ever!" with absolutely zero policy or plan to back it up. And you wonder why we call you idiots and brainwashed? It's because you are and you're too stupid to see it. |
