Republicans; how do you make peace with the volume of lies?

Journalists just lied and lied about Kavanaugh.

I could’ve written this myself- ditto every word (except I voted for Obama both times).

You're both morons then.

"The modern left" want affordable healthcare for all, legal abortions, and a more progressive tax policy. That's basically as far left as any Democratic politician with any power goes. I don't know what exactly you're referring to when you say "the modern left" if you were ok with Obama because the actual modern left is literally just trying to continue Obama's policies.

I'm sure you'll ramble on about some right wing troll talking point nonsense like forcing 10 years olds to get gender reassignment surgery or litter boxes in classrooms, but if that's the case it only proves that you are in fact brainwashed because those things simply aren't real, and the only people who actually believe in them are right wing idiots who fell for propaganda and a handful of left wing fringe loonies who are nowhere near and never will be anywhere near the levers of power.

Meanwhile on the other hand, you've apparently let yourself be convinced that the guy with "concepts of a plan" has any solutions to anything whatsoever. All you needed to be swayed was someone telling you "we're gonna have the best [insert thing] ever!" with absolutely zero policy or plan to back it up.

And you wonder why we call you idiots and brainwashed? It's because you are and you're too stupid to see it.

Thanks I appreciate your feedback. Good luck.

Just FYI, if your only available response to criticism is "la la la I can't hear you!" it's a strong sign you might be in a cult.

He was still president for that January 6th utter traitorous nonsense. But you are correct, his overbearing trashing of women's rights happened after he had left his term.

Most folks in US don't care about J6.

We care. A lot.

Very, very few people care about “J6.” It’s nowhere on the vast majority of people’s list of issues that are important to them in the upcoming election. If it is on your list, it’s a glaring signal that you are completely out of touch with kitchen table issues. Which, … you likely are. “But muh democracy!” you gasp, as you clutch your pearls. Yes, your democracy, which is currently seeking to install Harris. Mmhmm. Such concern. Very dangerous.

It's not even the volume of lies. Every day he was in office there was some other bizarre gaffe or freak show occurrence ... injecting bleach, meeting with dictators, throwing paper towels at hurricane victims while his wife sported an "I don't care" jacket, refusing to honor war dead, firing cabinet members on Twitter, shoving the Queen out of the way, etc. Every day was chaos - he's just a freak show ... who wants that for another 4 years. Like or dislike Biden policies, we really have not had to deal with bizarre actions by the President every day like we did from 2017-2020.

Democratic politicians all tell the truth; republican politicians are the only politicians that tell lies.

I’ll concede that a few Dems occasionally tell small fibs. But by and large, Democrats are uniformly honest and love and care about fixing this country from the horrific state it’s in. republicans on the other hand want to destroy it a sell it out to the Russians and Chinese.

So weird to see cultists in the wild. I despise the Republican Party, but the Democrats are stuffed to the brim with liars, and only your cult blindness doesn’t let you see that.

Yes, a lot of people cared about the GOP leading an attempt to overthrow the government. We all watched it live. The GOP take on it is, and I’ll word this at your level, is bull crap.

Not only did your guy spend two months working to overturn the election he knew he lost, but he’s said that he’ll be a dictator on day one. He supports Project 2025 and will bring aboard its primary author. He has said that people shouldn’t identify themselves as Harris supporters because they’ll be easier to find for violence later. He wants the police to have “an hour” in which they can kill with impunity.

The GOP is the party of fascism. We know you know this and we know you like it. We the people do not, traitor.

I will never, ever vote for Trump but if the past six years or so has taught me anything, it’s that the Democrats lie as profusely and freely as the Republicans, and that the media (both mainstream and left/right) is utterly untrustworthy.

Lying troll.

You are just mad that the extreme progressive left doesn’t have the chokehold on media that it used to have, because people have a much easier time seeing their lies. What we are seeing is the decline in trust in mainstream media, an entirely self-caused problem. If the media had been actually impartial and fact-based, there would be more trust in media. But the MSM has wholesale thrown itself into an extreme leftist narrative, and thus trust is destroyed.

Ok--just because he didn't kill 6 million Jews doesn't mean he didn't rule like Hitler---

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/article/2024/jun/03/donald-trump-hitler-similarities

"Trump made more than 30,000 false or misleading claims during his four years as president, according to a count by the Washington Post. Perhaps the most egregious is “the big lie” that he, not Joe Biden, won the 2020 presidential election, only for it to be stolen due to widespread fraud. De Berg writes in his book: “The idea behind the concept of the big lie is that if an untruth is sufficiently extreme, people are likely to accept it if only because they cannot bring themselves to believe that anyone could lie in such an outrageous manner.

“It was Hitler who came up with the concept, writing in Mein Kampf that ‘the great masses of the people … more easily fall victim to a big lie [große Lüge] than to a little one, since they themselves lie in little things, but would be ashamed of lies that were too big. Such a falsehood will never enter their heads, and they will not be able to believe in the possibility of such monstrous effrontery and infamous misrepresentation in others.’”

You’re asking me to believe the Guardian?? For Pete’s sake. I might as well believe in the Tooth Fairy.

January 6th was one of the most shameful days in U.S. history. And you're officially (though anonymously) in support of that traitorous event. When you were growing up, did you ever think you'd become so anti-American?

Yes. I wonder the same thing. When all of you who think January 6th was fine, did you ever contemplate that you would be advocating for such an anti-American position? And you are good with that?

So we've gone from "la la la I can't hear you!" to "Nuh uh! I totally could I just don't wanna!"

How fitting that the person in a cult led by someone with the maturity and temperament of a grade schooler can only come up with grade school excuses to defend the inexcusable.

He literally fomented a violent insurrection to attempt a coup and illegally retain power. The fact that he and his brownshirts were too incompetent to succeed doesn't change the fact that it happened.

They literally smeared s#*t on the US Capitol. They beat cops. They called for the hanging of the vice president.

People can convince themselves of whatever they need to in order to live with themselves — people always do. But these videos will live on, and what they show is not honor.
