The Perfect Couple- Eve Hewson

Wow, I didn't know who she was, but I actually didn't think she was a great actor and brought the series down a bit.

I also didn't get the whole B-train story line. Like, they saw each other once on a train, then spent a few hours together and then...? It seemed so random to throw that in there.

I thought both her and the guy who played her husband were very good in their roles.

I still don’t understand the Bollywood type flash dance at the opening credits. Why?!

The guy who played Dakota Fanning's husband reminded me so much of Chris Pratt!

Yes. And Amelia reminded me of Shannen Doherty.

Liev Schreiber is not good looking enough to be having all those affairs. Plus, he probably reeked of weed. As for Nicole Kidman, I'm just tired of her being in everything that has a role for a mom somewhere between 40 and 60.

As a public service, I'm willing to have a tawdry ONS with Liev Schreiber to gauge whether he's still hot enough. But only because I really love you guys.

I'm with this PP on Liev Schreiber -- certainly not a pretty boy but totally fine for a mid-life dalliance. I'll take him on after PP...

We'll be the official arbiters!

I love the banter between the brothers.

Yes, but the fiance / about to be married brother was clearly not a blueblood American. A preppy, silver spoon American would have perfect teeth and these he did not. I liked him and his looks (I'm not a hug fan of chiclet teeth myself), but found this casting flaw distracting. Some things, unlike accents, can't be faked.

In the book her character's conflicts made more sense, though I think still somewhat annoying. Have misgivings about marrying a rich guy? OK, don't marry him sheesh.

Yes, in the book there was much more chemistry. I haven’t finished the series but did not see it at all.

Yeah- she is one of Bono and Ali Hewson’s four children.

Also, she does a very good American accent. She normally has a typical Irish accent.

There is no such thing as a "typical" Irish accent, there are many many many accents in Ireland, according to region. In the same way there are many many many US accents, again according to region.

Oh, please, you know what she meant.

She means a lucky charms leprechaun accent, ye Ken, sassenach? Hahahaaaaa I jest. And there is a typical American accent, I have it and I would know!!!

The book had a lot more background about Benji/Amelia and then Shooter/Amelia. This is where the series REALLY missed the mark.

Were there even three brothers in the book? I don’t remember the third.

I guess that makes sense why they included it, they just didnt flesh it out very well. Felt very awkward.

I really enjoyed it! I agree that it was not White Lotus or Succession amazing, but I would highly recommend for the story and all of the trappings of a "rich family" murder mystery with lots of beautiful settings/scenes/homes and clothes to enjoy.

Everyone in this aside from Nicole Kidman and Meghan Fahey is insanely unattractive. There are definitely unknown actors who are good looking so it did not have to be like this. Also the interiors are all wrong - that is not what a 20 million dollar house in Nantucket looks like inside. Get it together Netflix.
Exactly. I was like WTF. Also the female characters other than Nicole Kidman are way too old. They’re supposed to be like 25. Eve looks like an average girl. That’s okay sometimes but felt odd here. Also those men were all busted. And Dakota fanning looks horrible.
I feel the exact same way...when did Dakota Fanning turn so so unattractive? And the girl whom played Amelia is so chunky.

I think Dakota is alluring
