Well said. |
None of these policy reasons justifies voting for someone who led an insurrection and tried to steal votes and did so fairly openly. You are either bad or obtuse/stupid beyond belief. To me, the distinction doesn’t matter much. Stupid, bad, you guys should all know better as adults with access to information. |
Republican voters? They’re not even close to half of the population, maybe close to 20% maximum. And yeah, 20-30% of adults probably do kind of suck and are otherwise easy to avoid. |
Couldn’t agree more. Thank you, |
Unfortunately, I’ve seen evidence that there are people on the extremes on both sides who believe that the people on the other side are bad and evil. The OP is an example of the many on the extreme left who believe that people on the right are bad people and there are those on the right who believe the same about the left. Personally, I believe that those on both sides who feel this way are ridiculous and somewhat unhinged. |
No actually, they don't. There was a time. That's gone. Automation is king. |
I don’t hate them, I disrespect them. Because his flaws are so egregious and obvious. One can’t even engage in serious debate about whether he should be hired for the most powerful position in our government.
It was not until he came along—and revealed the type of people who were hiding under rocks (or behind tax loopholes)—that I felt this way about those who disagreed with me politically. |
I'll tell you a secret. I was a DeSantis supporter. I wish he had won. I think he is an exemplary governor. But, he didn't. So, I will be supporting Trump because there is no way in hell I could support Kamala and Walz. One reason is because of the way the whole "nomination" came to be. I don't think the Democratic Party should be rewarded for their antics. Another reason is I believe Kamala and Walz would do more damage to the country than they would benefit the country. I don't trust their willingness to enforce the southern border given Kamala's past performance and Walz's actions as governor. I don't think they will make a concerted effort to bring down prices because if Kamala truly considered this important she would have done something by now. I also believe that Kamala is a phony - a chameleon - who will say anything she needs to say to get elected. I'm not sure even she believes half of what she says. Hard to know since she has been on both sides of pretty much every issue. |
Small dick move. Stick to the topic. |
The first rule of understanding cults is that the people in the cult generally are not bad people. There usually something appealing that drew them to it, and there is a lot of manipulation going on.
They use fear and create panic. The right actually thinks Trump was/is a successful businessman as opposed to a showman/conman/grifter that thrives in the protection of our nations bankruptcy laws. I don’t hate them for being manipulated. I think many of their groupthink ideas are hateful . |
You don't engage in serious debate because you can't. You talk about the players, not the policies. |
I 100% understand your reasons and how you came to this conclusion. And yes, I find it incredibly stupid. From a policy perspective it’s stupid because Trump instituted the tariffs and stimulus packages that first led to inflation to begin with. THEN the Republicans torpedoed their own immigration bill. But voting for someone who attempted a coup is SO INCREDIBLY STUPID. You take democracy and rule of law so much for granted you think a leader who doesn’t respect our values won’t cause irreparable harm. That is naive at best and absurdly stupid at worst. Sorry. |
Can it be both?
I despise people who know he's deeply incompetent and going to just spend all day live tweeting on x but would vote for a cockroach if it had an r attached to their name |
Either way the rubes in the heartland aren’t growing my food. Most of it comes from liberal California. |
Haha, would sincerely love to hear your thoughts on the foundations of western civilization. |
