+1 this is exactly right, and posters like you are the only ones who feel that way. and while you feel SUPER strongly about it, people like Jamie Dimon are rich and powerful and Trump listens to them. Trump is going to get NOTHING from Wall Street and big banks if he doesn't drop Vance in a hurry—and he needs that money, bad! Sucks to be a MAGA freak and realize that it's not your opinion that the big guy listens to, huh? |
How can Trump dump Vance at this point? Hasn’t he been formally nominated by the party? What would that process look like? |
You gotta carry him to term, Donald! |
Democrat gets on her knees for wall street and big banks and calls other people freaks. hahahaha! |

It would be ugly. In 1972, McGovern dumped his VP pick, Thomas Eagleton after the convention after it was discovered that he had been given electro-shock treatment. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Eagleton Treatment for depression is pretty weak stuff compared to the garbage being dug up on Vance. McGovern, of course, went on to lose by the largest margin ever in American history—520 electoral votes to 17. So, Trump should enjoy that. |
oh, they're not going to support Harris. They'll just sit it out. |
Since Jeff decided to lock the Vance information thread (not a bad idea), let's make sure everyone here gets the facts: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1218126.page |
Thank you for finding these links. |
Pretty sure Trump never did that. |

I'm not trying to be glib, but it wasn't hard. This stuff is super well-known and written about, but I felt I should put some in a post because so many people here seemed so unaware of how reviled Vance is by the biggest GOP donor base and even his own benefactor. |
He didn't listen to them in 2016. |
