Tim Alberta is a respected political journalist. I know you’re panicking but don’t blame the messenger. |
Don Jr and Eric, seeing $$$$$ and opportunity for themselves, pushed Vance on Trump along with Elon who bribed him with $45mm/month. For now, these douchebags got outplayed. I liked it. |
+1 He’s evangelical and has covered Republicans for decades. |
Who are his sources? |
Trump is just going to start snarking at him. And possibly grabbing his wife's behind. |
Trump campaign support is imploding... Elon Musk has backed out of his pledge to give Trump campaign $45 million a month

Trump campaign. The first rule in journalism is that a journalist doesn't have to reveal their sources. C'mon. |
Alberta began studying the relationship between American Evangelical Christianity and the radical right, which became his second book, The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory: American Evangelicals in an Age of Extremism, published in 2023.
Ah, ok. Who are his sources? The Trump campaign or Trump “allies?” It’s not clear, because no details or names are cited. Is there another source besides Tim? I can’t find any other source. You said there are many sources. |
Ahahahahhaa. And he tells this to Jordan Peterson of all people. |
Naming sources in news reports is good journalism and what readers have every right to expect. Anything in the AP news report that could reasonably be disputed should be attributed. We should give the full name of a source and as much information as needed to identify the source and explain why the person s credible. Where appropriate, include a source’s age; title; name of company, organization or government department; and hometown. If we quote someone from a written document – a report, email or news release — we should say so. Information taken from the internet must be vetted according to our standards of accuracy and attributed to the original source. File, library or archive photos, audio or videos must be identified as such. For lengthy stories, attribution can be contained in an extended editor’s note detailing interviews, research and methodology. https://www.ap.org/about/news-values-and-principles/telling-the-story/ |
So kind of like how Obama allies were cited but not named that Biden was dropping out? I don’t think Vance is going anywhere, because he can’t, but I think they realize they made a massive mistake. Or do you want to hear Vance’s views on abortion, domestic abuse and divorce again? Because I don’t think those are going to help with any voter who has a heart. |
I think he might, but I think the GOP will wait until Harris announces a VP, and what the number look like then. |
There is exactly one article stating that “Vance was a mistake.” One, not a bunch. The single article is behind a paywall and written by a journalist who wrote a book attacking Trump. The author does not identify his sources. If there were “a bunch” of articles, if several credible journalists were reporting this information, maybe it would seem more credible? Maybe? One source->liberal source->Trump hater author->anon source->op lied about “a bunch of articles.” Cuckoo. |
This is incorrect. At least be honest. Musk is still giving $45 million to a super PAC to elect a Republican. It doesn't have Trump's name specifically on it. |
