I support diversity and inclusion and equality but do not support equity. My problem with all of it is how it is taught. These curriculums teach you what to think rather than how to think. You are not allowed to critically analyze both sides of an issue. True knowledge comes from understanding both sides of an issue even when you strongly disagree with a viewpoint. Anyone that has taken debate knows that.
I also think the way white privilege is taught reinforces stereotyping of blacks. If you are constantly telling white kids they must see someone else’s race and the white kid always have a privilege, you are kind of teaching them to make assumptions about the black person. I want to live in a world where I don’t see race but instead judge someone by their character and behavior. |
You betray the underlying misogyny and classicism of DEI by assuming that racism is the only issue. |
DEI is the cause of modern racism that disguised itself as the solution. Complete scam. It is divisive and morally wrong. Fire every DEI officer and stop race-based admission policies and hiring policies. They harm everyone. |
Yup. When one school told us on a tour about the “DEIB math curriculum” that’s what send me over the edge. |
“Modern Racism” ![]() |
If you think that is bad, imagine how we feel about DEI. |
Why not move to Florida or home school where you can pursue an education that more closely aligns to your value system instead of complaining on forums and paying 50k+ a year to attend schools that clearly don’t align with your values? |
Well I think you’re the racist, so I guess we have different views! |
You are in the tiny cult that is still drinking the DEI koolaid and hanging onto it for dear life. Face it. DEI is on its way out. We’ve experienced it and it was a disaster. No one, even the POC, wants it. It’s divisive and devalues not only the people it’s supposed to help, but the organizations (work and school) that have embraced it. Even people in very progressive areas such as Moco wants it gone. Cry and fight with all your might for it, but it’s gone. 😄❤️ |
And you are a part of a tiny cult of DCUM users who hides behind the anonymity of this forum but are truly afraid of sharing their racist ideals openly in the real world. |
Actually, YOU are the racist here. You seem to be the one DEI supporter that attacks rather than discusses. You’re fighting a losing cause and has no good defense, so you attack. I feel sorry for you. You’re like the sad playground bully. |
So, nobody has proven examples of why they are against DEIB in schools. It just seems like a bunch of fragility and racism.

This is true. My husband was sent this book, but in another industry. There was even a Zoom call to discuss the book, during work hours. My husband wisely said nothing during the call or gave wishy washy as needed. They were also encouraged to write their congress people. But now, with the Middle East crisis they are reminded to "not get political" because that would be against corporate policy. Interesting how now mixing work and politics is suddenly wrong, but a few years ago that wasn't an issue. |
Proven examples? The writing is on the wall, these programs are dying out because they are are a useless time suck. |
Do you not believe in systemic racism? |
