Any insights on the schools from people who have kids there now. Things besides academics as both are great in that regard. Thank you.

Notre Dame has by far the higher endowment, which translates into extra goodies for students. I would choose GU, given the choice, but endowment is something to consider.

BC has higher stats than Villanova, for what that's worse.

ND/GT ranked in the 20s, BC in the 30s, Villanova in the 50s.

I’m in favor of these big revenue-generating sports. They’re fun, they bring a campus together, it’s a fun thing for kids to do.

I dislike squash and fencing and those sports. But college football/bball? FUN!

Just wait. The new GU bball hire is a good one.

Holy Cross goes in Tier 2.
Can add Providence College to Tier 3.

OP has your daughter visited ND? If so, she will find it to be a much more vast and beautiful campus with lots of green space, a lake, the grotto, gorgeous architecture, well maintained newish residence halls, and great football.

Georgetown, on the other hand, is a tired, neglected campus.

She should look at both.

can you ever stop talking and posting photos of the grotto? We really don't care. A lot of people don't pick a school based upon architecture or grottoes

Georgetown has a better (healthier) social life. Georgetown dating culture is also much better than ND. Everyone seems to be looking for a future spouse at ND from sophomore year on and students seem to feel the pressure of that.

She didn't because ND has NEA, not EA

I agree ND has less of a hookup culture and more of a dating culture. But is that a bad thing now? Dartmouth grads more likely to get married to each other than any other t50 school,

If you want a Catholic school, Notre Dame is much more Catholic than Georgetown.

Georgetown is basically "catholic"
