The max an fcps teacher with Phd can ever earn is $135k

Interesting concern troll. This is a former assistant superintendent with probably 25+ years in the system who moved into a new role. The salary is high, yea, but seems more based on seniority than being role-specific.

Administrators generally earn more than teachers. We can probably agree that’s wrong, but I suspect that’s not what this is about for you. Rather, you have a bug up your butt about the letters D, E, and I.

King does not deserve $232K. That’s a shocking salary for a public school system.

DEI is a modern day shakedown. Totally useless.

That’s only your opinion.

We can have a discussion about the remuneration to long-serving administrators — I won’t even disagree with you much in that regard, although it’s a common dynamic and structure at most organizations where executives are paid more. But you injected the DEI thing as if *THAT* is what she doesn’t deserve to be paid for. And made it personal.

If you are so blind as to the facts and circumstances of how a long-serving executive got to a place in her career where she would earn this amount in virtually ANY executive role, I can’t help you. The DEI role is a red herring and you want to place a spotlight on it, that’s a terrible look.

She isn't long serving with FCPS. She was long serving in a role where she absolutely failed. This should be a step down with a salary to reflect it. She should not be one of the highest paid county employees

Every time a mom's for liberty troll make a post, a person in FX registers as a Democrat. These posts don't do what they're intended to do.

Every time I see "moms of liberty," which I had never heard of btw before this forum, I think of how progressive Democrats want to shut down conversation, the goal is sell-censorship, a fear of being labeled any of the many things that could get you cancelled. So, call someone MAGA or moms of liberty, the worst of the worst.

Instead of posting what you posted, why don't you actually question the person about what they posted: The issue the person raised is an equity officer can make more than a teacher with a PhD can ever make and implied is the idea of what this say about what we value, a highly-skilled teacher vs an equity officer.

Funny. Every time I think of Moms for Liberty (and professing ignorance about the notorious group is not the flex you think if you are genuinely interested in developments in public school education), I think of how they literally quoted Adolph Hitler in their materials.

But, I know, I know, you think with live in a colorblind society and are tired of all this race talk already.

Why not? Because you don’t like it?

It isn’t like your opinion matters or is valid.

She was an executive in one of the worst districts in the country that still somehow got worse while she was there.

What are you mad about?

1) That the DEI role exists at all?
2) That she earns so much?

Or

3) That she was hired for it?

And what is your standing to make these determinations? Are you one of these people who think you get to micromanage decisions in the school system like classrooms and now HR?

Have you examined her CV and checked her references

What else are you an expert in?

You are all over the place and embarrassing yourself, Karen.

25 year's seniority of screwing up students' learning?
Sure, that's what FCPS need to achieve equally bad results.

It wasn’t aspirational. It was intended as cautionary.

As a rule of thumb, bringing up Hitler unless you’re talking about an actual genocide is stupid. But it’s also nuts how some Democrats will trot this out to try and suggest these moms were holding Hitler out as a role model.

My pre-K child dream is to be an equity officer. Hopefully we have millions of equity officer positions in a few years. Other countries can focus on math and science.

DEI folks are just mirror image of MAGA. Both groups are idiots.

Of course that’s my opinion. But I have had experience with her and she accomplishes almost nothing.

So you just excused it. In reality, they said the quiet part out loud.

What were they cautioning against? Did they intend to compare ideological opponents to Hitler? And that’s OK to you? You are going to be their apologist?

I am not a Democrat but thanks for playing.
