Well, I’ll admit I was wrong about the son having done it. How strange that they would arrest him when they had the remains and the suspect the whole time…

She disappeared July 29th in Greenbelt.

The suspect, Harold Francis Landon III, lived nearby in University Park.

Her remains were discovered in 7300 block of Old Alexander Ferry Road in Clinton, August 1. That location is right by Andrews Air Force Base, isn't it?

The suspect was arrested for an "unrelated domestic violence charge" on August 1st, the same day her remains were found. He's been in custody ever since.

Maybe? The news reports I read just said that they realized the man had been in the park the same time she was there. Nothing else to connect him to the murder.

He was probably on drugs or maybe it was a random botched robbery. They already had him in custody on an unrelated charge so he was clearly known to the police.

Likely the police know more, but they are not revealing more details until their investigation is complete.

I would guess that in another couple of weeks, they'll reveal more once they can confirm additional data.

Yes, but has the public known there was a woman’s dismembered body found in Clinton on August 1?

The PGPD is like a black hole. A woman was murdered near me, and I had to hunt and hunt for more information to find out it was not a random predator (horrifying prospect) but actually a domestic violence incident (still totally awful, but not a danger to the rest of the neighborhood).

Are we so numb to violence over here that what they found in Clinton didn’t even make the news?

I wonder what sort of evidence they have against this guy. Merely because he was in the park at the same time as her seems very flimsy. Hope they have better evidence than that. Why would they not know it was her remains they found? The whole thing seems very odd.

I read nothing about it, but it did make the news... there were TWO Bodies found.
