They had the remains but they did not know they were hers.  They sent the DNA out for testing and only recently got the results back.

Yes, but has the public known there was a woman’s dismembered body found in Clinton on August 1?

The PGPD is like a black hole. A woman was murdered near me, and I had to hunt and hunt for more information to find out it was not a random predator (horrifying prospect) but actually a domestic violence incident (still totally awful, but not a danger to the rest of the neighborhood).

Are we so numb to violence over here that what they found in Clinton didn’t even make the news?[/quote]
