Another Democrat switches parties to GOP

Or running con artists as democrats.
Believe it.

Really?

Mainor began her political career in Washington, D.C. working with Congressman John Lewis.

Cool story. The private schools that school choice lets public school kids go to are just as bad. No school voucher program actually opens good privates or allows transfers to good school districts, they just allow for profit privates to get a cut of education dollars.

Tudors, homeschool, pods or on line schools are safer and infinitely more focused with infinitely less wasted time on gender confusion assemblys.

Someone here could definitely use a “tudor.”

You believe that Rs are racist because that is what you have repeatedly been told with no proof at all.

She was treated like crap by other Ds in GA. I don't blame her for switching.

Mainor also said in a social media post that she "didn’t leave the Democrat Party," but rather "The Democrat Party left ME when it embraced left-wing radicalism, lawlessness, and put the interests of illegal aliens over the interest of Americans."

"
When I decided to stand up on behalf of disadvantaged children in support of school choice, my Democrat colleagues didn’t stand by me," Mainor told Fox News. "They crucified me. When I decided to stand up in support of safe communities and refused to support efforts to defund the police, they didn’t back me. They abandoned me."

"When I opposed efforts to defund the police, many of my colleagues called me a sell out," Mainor said on Twitter. "I laughed at them."

NP. There are going to be more. The Republican Party has managed to rebrand itself as the Big Tent party, which I find shocking in the wake of 1/6, but is nonetheless true. They are actively recruiting and capturing the moderates. Meanwhile the Democrats have acted terribly entitled to POC voters and many of the loudest Democratic politician voices sound increasingly nuts. Biden is a reasoned moderate but the nutty end is much louder.

No that person was a democrat. Ran as a democrat. Told the world they were. You do not tell someone in Ark, LA you are a democrat if you are not one.

Blue Dog Democrat or Strom Thurmond Dixiecrat!

This is pretty big news. I didn't realize she was African American. Read her speech she gave yesterday.

'I didn’t leave the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party left ME when it embraced left-wing radicalism, lawlessness, and put the interests of illegal aliens over the interest of Americans. I have nothing to apologize for.'

It’s bullshit, though. The Democratic Party is no different today than when she ran and was elected as a Democrat. That is the same speech party-switchers have been giving since the 1960s. Everyone of them switched because they were promised some position or status or cronyism benefits by Republicans. Most of them have short political careers after switching because nobody trusts them.

Modern political parties are no place for moderates. That’s the lesson. The Ds are just as bad as the Rs about arm-twisting members into compliance with the party line. When a member revolts, it’s not BS—it’s a big F-U for the arm twisting. I bet she knows her political days are numbered, but she felt compelled to vote her conscience on these issues.

Wow! I was taught that Elizabeth I was the last Tudor. Is it possible that she really wasn't the Virgin Queen and illegitimate Tudors will try to wrest the throne from King Charles III. Heavy lies the head that wears the crown.

The Democratic Party is full of moderates. Get in the real world.

She will probably get recalled. Her county went for by Biden by 73%.

There is some re-districting that happened to make it a bit more suburban, but the GOP hasn't fielded a candidate there in years.

This sounds like a real personal animosity. My guess is that she knew she was going to get primaried by someone who opposes school vouchers. So she decided to take her ball and go home.

Really? Even one that would be in favor of school choice? Seems not. Broke rank on two issues and was “crucified”.
