NP. I see your point, and I don't necessarily disagree with you.

But one way to look at this is that this monster is a little different in that he's educated. Many of these monsters, not all, are not. So the fact that he was pursuing a college degree in a STEM field is noteworthy (to me, at least).

It breaks to mold and can be an indicator that this poison has already penetrated broader swaths of white America than we'd like to believe.

Enrolling for an engineering degree is quite a bit different than actually getting one. I see no one is mentioning social media anymore. The wonder technology that locks people into tiny self reinforcing bubbles, i.e. echo chambers.

Well, they did detain the DC snipers alive. The guy who drove his SUV through the crowd in WI and killed multiple people was brought in alive. Willie Godbolt shot and killed 8 people in Mississippi and was brought in alive. The Las Vegas shooter was not brought in alive. I never understood why people are fixated on whether a shooter is brought in alive or not. It's very hard to see a correlation with anything.

You are dealing in fallacies here. To this day, there seems to be no clear motive as to why the Wisconsin driver when through the parade. You are implying that because he was black, he plowed into the parade because they were white.

Unlike this shooter, who came in tactical gear and left a trail of social media that left little to doubt as to why he picked this location to shoot up.
