An 18-year-old suspect with access to an assault rifle. He shot and killed 10 people including a retired police officer who returned fire. His parents need to be charged. I'm tired of this.

American here. Agreed. Watching Fox news and the refrain is (of course) - 'its not the gun's fault, its the person who held the gun'.

Here's a thought? Take the assault weapons out of the individual's hand. If you allow a person to handle weapons of war, they should be charged prohibitive insurance per weapon and if their registered assault weapon is used in a offensive mass shooting - every adult registered in their household should be charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
