It's interesting to see how many of you are just ignoring this was a racist attack do you can have your gun debate and political affiliation shouting matches. 10 people are dead tonight because of the color of their skin. |

I do not know what to say anymore.
I drive kids to school and we passed a yard a man crawled through after being shot. The police were still combing the lawn for evidence. Someone was trying to take someone out. 24 shots fired all over the place. A young man killed “by accident” while driving home from his job. The people killed outside the baseball stadium. The kindergartners. The college kids. The newspaper staff. The family. The families. |
| This week a year ago, 9 people were shot a few blocks from my house. We, collectively, keep demonstrating that we are not responsible enough to have all the guns. |

PP here. I'm not ignoring it. He's a white supremacist and is already been charged under the federal hate crimes law which can bring a death sentence. I think that's appropriate. State and legislative leadership is not shying away from the fact that this is a racially-motivated and a racial hate shooting. Unlike the mass shooting in Georgia when neither the local community nor the state pushed for federal hate crime charges. |

Here's some of what he wrote about "mass immigration." His words are not particularly shocking because we hear similar comments all the time on Fox and from Republicans.
“Mass immigration and the higher fertility rates of the immigrants themselves are causing this increase in population. We are experiencing an invasion on a level never seen before in history,” it says. “Millions of people pouring across our borders, legally. Invited by the state and corporate entities to replace the White people who have failed to reproduce, failed to create the cheap labor, failed to create new consumers and tax base that the corporations and states need to have to thrive.” It continues, “This crisis of mass immigration and sub-replacement fertility is an assault on the European people that, if not combated, will ultimately result in the complete racial and cultural replacement of the European people.” Apparently there's anti-semitic ranting in his "manifesto" too. He's 18 and a college student (engineering). What is it with these incels? https://heavy.com/news/payton-gendron/ |

America is a f*cked up place.
Americans have worshiped guns and killing as entertainment since the days of the pre-revolutionary war, to the wild west, to modern day rap videos, to TV shows like the walking dead. A and E is literally running marathons of John Wick for hours, so you can entertain your bloodlust with mass murdering on cable TV. There are just many areas of civilization where the US has more in common with the 3rd world than with the first world. The US had a mass shooting in which an entire classroom of 8 year olds were murdered and nothing changed. The US had 500 people shot en masse in Las Vegas and nothing changed. There are mass shootings in Chicago, Baltimore, and Detroit every weekend and nothing changes. Heck, less than 50 miles from the White House, over 1000 minorities have been murdered in only 5 years in a city like Baltimore, nearly all by guns. Nothing changes.. America is one messed up place. |
What does engineering have to do with this? |
So if he's also anti-semitic, the color of their skin matters in a different way. |
| Who are his parents? |
