NP. I see your point, and I don't necessarily disagree with you.

But one way to look at this is that this monster is a little different in that he's educated. Many of these monsters, not all, are not. So the fact that he was pursuing a college degree in a STEM field is noteworthy (to me, at least).

Enrolling for an engineering degree is quite a bit different than actually getting one. I see no one is mentioning social media anymore. The wonder technology that locks people into tiny self reinforcing bubbles, i.e. echo chambers.[/quote]
