60 whole hours? |
You’re aware that hours and credit hours are different, right? |
| Only in DC would riding ATVs at high speeds through busy parts of the city be deemed harmless or an "expression of personal freedom" that cannot be curtailed. These guys jump sidewalks and ride into oncoming traffic or the wrong way down one-way streets. I see it frequently in my neighborhood. This isn't a nice, peaceful Sunday drive. They are out to get attention and wreak havoc. It's dangerous, illegal and needs to be stopped. |
NP. That's not true. The 60 undergrad credit hours are not necessary if you have 2 years of prior military or police experience. |
Sorry, here are the requirements. https://www.nationaltestingnetwork.com/publicsafetyjobs/fullJobDetails.cfm?agentid=477&jobid=1&agencyjobid=702 |
The last time I saw one of these parades of morons on dirt bikes and ATVs, they were doing their thing by Audi Field, as thousands of people were streaming into a soccer match. These low-lifes decided that would be a great time to speed down Potomac Avenue. I don't know if they're stupid, malicious, or both. And the DC police stood around like idiots, rather than arresting as many of these guys as they could, and confiscating their toys. |
No, she’s not. |
Talk like that will get you labeled a racist by white people who are experts on labeling people as racist. |
Stupid gentrifiers. Stop complaining! Stop muting DC! Stop with your cultural annihilation. People in this town should be free to blast Rare Essence, smoking blunts and pulling wheelies on stolen Yamaha YZ-80’s at all hours of the night! Better ask somebody! |
About 90% of what you wrote is stuff that people driving cars do also. I wish we'd work on that with even half the gusto you have for cracking down on ATV riders. |
| How bizarre that 60 hours is being lauded as an education. Who are these people posting here? They certainly aren't from DC professionals as all of us view a BA or BS as a HS diploma. |
You routinely see drivers in cars jump sidewalks and ride into oncoming traffic on purpose? Where do you live? |
Yes. Sleazy unemployed drug culture. Cops are punished for doing anything. But hey, not PC to say anything, right? Start looking outside the district, OP. |
100% |
Near Georgia Ave. I don't really care if they do it on purpose or through negligence. If we completely shut the street to cars and allowed the ATV guys free access it would be a significant increase in safety for me and my kids. I'm not a fan of what they're doing, but people driving cars are a much bigger hazard that isn't being dealt with. |
