The show made everyone unlikeable in this episode except Miguel, Madison and Rebecca. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish and it was just as tv show, but it is unrealistic to have the entire adult cast drop everything and fly across the country for Kate.
IRL doubtful that every sib, their spouse or significant other would drop everything and arrange childcare to sit in a waiting room for 1-2 days straight if they were at a local hospital much less fly across the country for it. Kevin's behavior was fueled by alcohol. Randall's was fueled by his 24/7 fixit complex. The most shocking interactions were the times Beth snaped at Miguel. What did he ever do or say to her to warrant her attitude towards him? Beth never knew Jack. Jack wasn't her father. Kate isn't her sister and from what we've seen they get along okay most of the time, but didn't appear to be particularly close at. She chose to leave her children when child care was a hot button issue a day or so before in tv time yet she got snippy with Miguel. It seeme out of character for her. |
That episode was ridiculous on so many levels. I’m done. |
My father died rather tragically in my early 20's and my extended family treats my sister and I like royalty the minute they think we could be in danger. So no, I don't think it's unrealistic at all that her brothers and SIL would make major plan changes to stay with her. |
How could they afford that? He hasn’t worked in over a year. They have three girls. |
But is wasn't interesting.... |
How did kevins GF now that his water botltle had vodka in it?
I mean I kind of suspected thats where they were going as they kept focusing on it but I thought someone else was going to ask for his water or something. |
Right. I can overlook a show makeing up reasons for the entire cast being at the hospital for days. But there were just so many other shortcomings. And nothing of great intrigue. |
At one point they show her reaching for the bottle looking thirsty and she takes a sip. |
Dam I missed it. |
Exactly! |
This show is soooo bad now! |
Remind me, what was Toby's joke? I don't remember. |
+2 Madison was fairly annoying when she arrived and was so perky, etc. But what Kevin said to her was awful and then no one spoke up on her behalf? Too weird! And THEN, when Miguel ran into her by the vending machines, I couldn't believe HE didn't apologize and invite her to come back with him. She's Kate's best friend! But no, he just gave her a little anecdote and sent her on her way. Bizarre. |
Randall's Rold Gold moment was hysterical though. Best part of the episode. |
No - even when he passed Madison at the elevators, and she made some kind of sound to him like, "Don't even bother" - he *wasn't* bothering! He didn't even look ashamed of himself when he saw her. |
