Yes, Kevin’s house in the future, in LA, we are probably to assume.

Do you think Randall, Beth and Tess all moved to LA too at some point?

I'm wondering if it's in LA. Beth owns her dance studio at that point, which was initially in Philadelphia, where they moved. Maybe Kevin moved back to the east coast at some point.

No way, I think that ship has sailed.

I don't think it's Sophie, but it seems like the mother of Kevin's son might not be in the picture. The family refer's to the house as Kevin's house, not Kevin's and spouses or SO's house.

When Randall arrives at the foot of her bed, he says to her, “It’s your son, Randall.” If she didn’t have dementia and were just kind of out of it due to illness/medication, he wouldn’t need to remind her that he’s her son. He’d say something like, “It’s me, Randall.”

If she did have dementia, she might not be able to grasp the concept of "son," even if she could place him on the list of "people I sort of recognize and for whom I feel affection."

Pp. Agree, but absent dementia, why would a family member ever think to identify their relationship? They wouldn’t.

I agree with others that Kate is likely dead by the end scene. Otherwise, it seems strange that Randall would take it upon himself to have invited Toby, if he was Kate's ex-husband (that would seem like a thing she would do if they had that kind of relationship). But it doesn't explain who Jack is with when Toby says "they" are on the way. But I don't think it's Kate. I would think she would already be there if she were still alive.

It could be a second child, little Jack’s sibling.

Right I think there was a scene a long time ago where Randall says to Toby "She would want you there" I think he meant Kate would want him there. As in she is now dead.

Didn’t Rebecca have a brain health scare in a flashback? I remember her and Jack sitting by the tree waiting for results. Did I make that up? She got good news but maybe it turned out to be something? She looked totally catatonic- like a stroke or something. No just out of it.

Oh and they could be Jack and Miguel.

I think the final scene in this season finale will also be the scene just before the final scene in the series finale. It’s a nice way to wrap up the series with Rebecca’s death and then a final scene with how they move on.

Oh oh oh please do a Six Feet Under fast forward montage of how everyone dies in the end for the series finale. Best. Finale. Ever.

Like Parenthood. That was a pretty satisfying ending to the series.
