I just wrote this on the other Hannah Graham thread--but I think today's charges mean they have very solid forensic evidence from his car and maybe the apartment as well. They have not even properly interrogated this guy, yet they have charged him. So they must have her blood and/or his semen from that car to bring those charges without interviewing him. They need physical evidence from her body or a confession from him to charge rape/murder, so without a body or a confession, abduction with intent to defile is the strongest charge they can bring. Everything that happened today must mean they have very good forensics. I just hope for the parents' sake they can put all the pieces together and nab this guy. |
Washington Post is reporting that the Matthew family has retained a lawyer. |
Washington Post: "Charlottesville lawyer James L. Camblos III, who has been a prosecutor in Albemarle County and nearby Waynesboro, said that he met with Matthew on Saturday and has been retained by Matthew’s family. Camblos couldn’t immediately be reached Tuesday night." |

More insight into Chief Longo. Some controversial stuff about his tactics on this case and in the past. This is also the article that mentions (waaaay down in the article) that the Matthew family has retained a lawyer and that JM spoke with the lawyer on Saturday. |
really - his semen in his own car? probably found some of his fingerprints too. they must have something from her too. |
Thanks for the link. There were a lot of complimentary comments about him and his approach. I think that some of the criticism comes from those who are concerned about Mr. Mathew's rights, and they should be protected; however, I think Chief Longo is trying desperately to find H Graham--not just getting an indictment. |
I hope the lawyer decides to sue the school and the ski/snowboard club also. If this was another adult who provided someone underage with alcohol and they disappeared, I'm sure that adult would pay a heavy price. Why should it be different for this club? |
This post makes no sense. You think the Matthew family should sue the school because someone served underage HG alcohol?? |
By that logic, the ski club should sue JM because he bought drinks for HG at a bar... Enough with this sue the ski club stuff. |
The ski club hater is back? So weird. |
Let's leave the family of Matthews out of this. They didn't do anything. If a relative of yours did something awful, would you want your name dragged through the media? |
Who are you, my mother? |
No, just someone who believe in treating others how I would want to be treated. If a family member of mine did something awful, and I had absolutely nothing to do with it, I'd hope people would respect my privacy and not unfairly drag me in. |
No just his semen. |
Finding a mans's DNA in his own car is not probable cause for anything without more. |
