Missing since early Saturday morning. Not reported until yesterday? Any news? |
Actually based on what I read since early Sunday morning, reported Sunday afternoon. |
This is horrible. What none of the articles mention is that Morgan Harrington went missing from Charlottesville in a similar fashion 5 years ago. Her body was found 3 months later, beaten and raped in a farm field about 10 miles south of Charlottesville. Her murderer has never been arrested though there was a DNA link to a suspect in a sexual assault in Fairfax in 2005.
I have a sick feeling in my stomach and hope I am wrong, wrong, wrong. Please keep Hannah and her family in your thoughts. |
Actually, you're wrong. She was last heard from via text early Sat morning and reported missing Sunday afternoon. |
It seems there have been a series of missing women, some of whom turned up dead: http://m.roanoke.com/news/virginia/missing-uva-student-s-last-text-said-she-was-lost/article_fa7df5eb-0f59-5ff5-95ad-68737fa35a21.html?mode=jqm Why is this being buried? Women need to know to be more careful down there. I wish wtop or the post would do a story because this Roanoke times article is confusing gibberish. This is so scary. |
I agree. I wish everything that has happened at UVA over the last several years would be consolidated into a single story. George Huguely, Teresa Sullivan, Helen Dragas, Morgan Harrington, and now the most recent missing girl. And there are several others. I just don't happen to know their names. It's been pretty clear that Dom Starsia, Craig Littlepage and others know more than they're telling. And when you look at the ouster of Teresa Sullivan, you have to ask a lot of questions. |
I dont even remember Teresa Sullivan? |
Teresa Sullivan was UVA's president whom the board (including Helen Dragas) tried to have removed. That said, I am missing the point that PP was trying to make. How are you connecting the dots between UVA governance disputes and Morgan Harrington and this missing woman? |
Another reason why all of us who follow the news need to really stop posting on DC urban moms. Unless you're a troll, which you might really be, then you don't know anything about UVA. Teresa Sullivan is the president, and she was ousted by the board, primarily Helen dragas, a couple of years ago. And then reinstated mysteriously. |
It all represents an incredible lack of coordination in terms of taking care of the student body, taking care of the staff and taking care of the community. |
I think they should do a story about the murdered and missing students in the area so people know to be careful. I don't care about Teresa Sullivan, irrelevant to this missing girl. |
UVa has an open and sprawling campus, like most universities. You're expecting for students to be kept inside a compound much like a military base. Impossible. This can't be blamed on the president of the school. They say she was last seen in an area past the Corner. That area can get pretty desolate and somewhat seedy. Few students go that way. Let's hope and pray for her safe return. |
The FBI is now involved. Prayers for a safe and speedy return.
