What SHOULD Dems do?

Why are so many of us in this thread so mad about having to acknowledge errors or apologize to voters? We’re not trying to win a slap fight against Republicans to determine what’s fair. We’re trying to win back power by winning back voters.

You’re not answering the question. Trump is president and the GOP controls all three branches. Voters “took the chance” and where is the improvement?

How are trump’s actions, including his vaunted abductions of student visa holders helping working and middle classes.

We have to remember that we are supplicants. We’re not a real aristocracy, we’re a class seeking the perquisites of power. We have to offer the voters what they want, so they’ll give us what we want (power).

It doesn’t matter how bad Trump is. The question is, what are we willing to do for the voters. Are we willing to close the borders? Do mass deportations? End expensive wars? Lay off bureaucrats? Cut costs? Reduce waste and fraud? Ban trans athletes? So far, our answer to all these things has been a resounding no. Our attitude is: “We shouldn’t have to change, stupid voters should have to change their stupid thinking that led them to vote for Trump.” We’re entitled to our attitude, but it may not lead us back into power.

It doesn’t matter what Trump does. He already won, now he’s in power, and this is his last term. We can’t deliver 2024 for Kamala. That ship has sailed. The question is not whether or not Trump can rapidly reduce egg prices. The question is, what can WE do or say in the next three years that will make voters prefer our candidate in 2028 to the Republican candidate. What we’ve been saying so far has backfired. Our approval rating have dropped farther and lower than Trump’s have. The question of this thread is, “what should we do differently?”

What actions do you have in mind?

The action I’m proposing is getting is giving the voters what they want, both now in government and in a new policy platform for the campaign trail. My proposed action is, try to win elections.
