Dems need to let folks feel the consequences of this action. America have grown complacent in civic responsibility, entitled, need to constant be vigilant of its checks and balances, which include the American people themselves. Many don’t know how government operates and don’t understand at which level of government they should seek change for things. If this level of chaos and destruction is what Americans want then it will continue. If not, then Americans will do the soul searching needed and take the necessary steps to retain their democracy. The American experiment is 250 years old. It will either rise this opportunity to change and experience a rebirth or fade into history like many empires before. |
When will the Dems find people to play the propaganda game as well as the GOP. We have to embrace the new reality. We have to reach them on their phones and appeal to their emotions. |
I honestly don’t think there IS much to do.
Either the courts and/or Congress needs to stop the bleeding I know Congress won’t, and the courts? We’ll see if there is any way for rulings to actually be enforceable The 2 official ways to get rid of king Don-old are Impeachment or 25th. The current clowns won’t do it Sadly, the bleak truth is our only actual way to stop this is war. I wish there was another way. Truly. |
The most common class signaling we do is to pretend that we “can’t even fathom” what middle class voters are thinking. HOW can they possibly disagree with us richer, more educated, more moral people on climate, migrants, trans, whatever. If we’ve never even been able to UNDERSTAND, what middle class people even THINK, well, that show that we really are more fancy. They may look like is, but we’re definitely NOT like them! No Trump, no gold buildings, Nd no McDonalds for us! |
We need a campaign to normalize migrants and trans folks. Stupid racists fear people who are different. We need to teach them that people are the same |
There is one other option besides impeachment or war. Democracy. But to win that game, we’d have to drop our commitments to migrants and trans folks and stop calking the voters stupid. And that, my friends, we just can’t do. The one thing I will never say, no matter what, is that I was wrong about Trump ir that the voters were right to choose him. Hell no. |
That works in reverse too. Where are the MAGAs reaching out to understand what Democrats want? …Oh, that’s right. They don’t care. Because, according to your calculus, simply being in power is proof that you are correct and morally superior. |
Attack plan? That's your first problem. |
Looks like it’s impeachment or war! We don’t even have a candidate, except for big ol JB Pritzker and lil sweet Mayor Pete. I honestly like our war chances better than our election chances at this point. |
Whatever. The structures of this country are not in the peoples’ favor. No amount of “democracy” will help. |
+1 I seem to remember being told “F your feelings” |
We need to start making more noise than trump. Kick him out of first place news. Keep it non violent and lawful. Booing is fine. Put the thumb screws to both Republican and democrat members of Congress. Do not accept congressional pablum from GOP House and Senate members. |
When Elon is buying elections and tinkering with voting software, the Dems have no chance of retaking any power. Nor will any sane Republicans.
Basically, we are screwed. |
You’re confused. Republicans know what hardcore Dems want. We broadcast it all over the media. And middle class voters din’t have status anxiety the way we do. They already know we’re more affluent. But we want to prove to each other, to our upper middle class peers, that we are NOTHNG like the mere middle class. It’s just signaling. We know the middle class doesn’t care about climate like we do, doesn’t care about trans like we (say we) do, etc. We just play dumb sometimes among each other as a way to strike a pose. |
We need to intensify our fight against cost cutting and layoffs. Show more personal stories of government workers being harmed by change |
