Trump Approval Polls

Trump is doing all sorts of novel things, breaking norms and making new rules.

We can make a new vote of no confidence and a recall vote for him.

But SCOTUS has said he is above the law.

When will he implode under the pressure?

Trump's approval ratings plummeted during his 1st term and there was never an implosion. His unpopularity allowed the Dems to take control of The House in 2018 and allowed for a very easy victory for the Dems in the 2020 POTUS election. Dems can thank Trump again for the success they'll have in 2026 and 2028.

Hmmm... I'm noticing a pattern.... it appears as though terrible sitting presidents make success easy to come by for the opposition party. We suffered through this with Biden in 2024 so we deserve to the political success that will inevitably come while having to endure the nightmarish Trump 2nd term.

Very easy?

Biden won by about 35,000 votes.

The constitution gives us two mechanisms.

It’s bad enough we’re going to have swings every two years.

Imagine if we could recall the potus. In the current sociopolitical climate that would happen every few months

I would be happy if instead of press conferences, he sat and gave weekly testimony like in a grand jury. With an antagonistic lawyer cross examining him to suss out the lies and other BS.

CNN

“Grassley famously visits all 99 counties in Iowa each year. He started the meeting by acknowledging the increased interest this year in his activity and said his office has received more emails this year than it did in all of 2024.”

It’s not even May. People are pissed.

That's because the Dem donors chose to nominate an unlikable 77 year old. If that were a Clinton, Obama, Bush, Reagan or any other legitimate POTUS candidate going up against Trump in 2020, Trump would have been defeated by 60% of the popular vote and 500 electoral votes. Same goes for 2024. Common sense.

And yet, he had the cleanest and most productive presidency in modern history.

He damn sure was good at producing a second Trump term. I can't say that I appreciate him all that much considering his gruesome final deed.

Blaming Biden or democrats for trump winning is such a losing argument. The Biden/Harris administration was clean and effective. Just because the right wing media ecosystem outflanked the public's intelligence doesn't make it their fault. The media and our other institutions need to look in the mirror.

"Blaming Biden is such a losing argument"... lol, well you have reached rock bottom on the intelligence scale. I'm guessing you're a MAGA troll??? Anyway, apparently you've already forgotten about Biden's fake 2024 re-election bid and then his collapse just a few weeks prior to the Dem primary and just a few months prior to Election Day effectively gifting Trump a second term. Stop making excuses for the second worst POTUS ever who went out of his way to make it possible for the much worse worst POTUS ever to win a second term!!

Um, ah duh, ah, duh... try harder. Think. Read something to remind you of what just happened less than a year ago!!!

If Democrats were likable or had popular policies, they could make hay from this. But alas, approval ratings for Democrats are even worse than for Trump!

So tired of educating the poorly educated. But Trump “loves you.”

CBS News YouGov poll- “The trend line of the American people are turning against Trump.”

66% of independents oppose DJT across the board (In January, he had a +1 independent approval rating)
53% think the economy is getting worse
58% oppose new tariffs
63% oppose Trump’s approach to tariffs and trade
54% now say Trump is more to blame for the poor economy than Biden economy (21%)
-6 points net approval rating down from +6 points in early February

Trump has done such a stunningly abysmal job that two months in, he would lose the election today because swing voters already regret their decision.

Our elections are won by swing voters and moderates. These groups are not happy.

This is indeed true for POTUS in modern times.

All the threads on "What will it take MAGA to see reality?" etc....

Just give up. Anyone still thinking that Trump is great is a lost cause forever.
