Trump lost the swing voters

No offense, but "Independents" and "swing voters" are total morons.

The independents and swing voters aren't the idiots who were primarily responsible for Trump, Biden, and Trump being our three most recently elected presidents. Sure, some of them caved and voted for these elderly clowns but they had little to do with them being nominated. If independents are "total morons", I can't imagine the awful term we'd have to come up to describe loyal to a fault GOP and Dem voters.

They actually are morons by thinking they are above-it-all by not participating in party politics. The Constitution, our federal system, and plurality voting systematically incentivize two big-tent parties.

Don't like who the Dems or GOP nominate? Get in there and participate.

Most independents and swing voters can't tell their head from their butt.

You are the moron for not understanding how our major political parties are controlled by PRIVATE entities that can and should be replaced when they have become dysfunctional failures. If what has happened since 2016 doesn't have you convinced of the two entities controlling our two major political parties being dysfunctional failures, you are only going to embarrass yourself and your intelligence further by commenting in a political forum. Blaming the smart people of the world for no longer having faith in the GOP and Dem Parties puts you behind the 8 ball and on the wrong side of history. Think. Read. Use your noodle.

They are only responding to the incentives provided by the Constitution. The ugly reality: our system of government - and hence our Constitution - is a dysfunctional failure for these modern times. People will take whatever advantages are afforded by the document. It's a brittle document that should be amended to require more power sharing and coalition governments. Instead, it rewards winner-take-all and is largely silent on extremely important matters (eg, money in politics).

A two party political system can work and has worked for our country in the past. The system doesn't necessarily need to be replaced. The entities controlling the two major parties definitely need to be replaced. These same entities have not always been in control of our two parties. Americans used to care and pay attention enough to force political change when it's needed. The GOP and Dem Parties have evolved into irreparable states of dysfunction. Those who blame our current political mess on the people who are brave and smart enough to break their affiliations with these two entities are a step behind being on the right side of history. It's like living in 1860 and thinking slavery should and will exist forever or living in 1980 and thinking gay marriage will never be legal. These entities are failures. Let them fail.

The same Constitution that allowed the Supreme Court to abrogate for itself a robust policymaking role in defiance of federally elected officials? The same Supreme Court that took away power from Congress and said unlimited monies can be spent in elections (aka, bribery)? The same Supreme Court that says the Clean Air Act doesn't mean what the words on the paper say?

The document is severely and arguably irreparably flawed. There are better forms of government that are more responsive to The People.

Perhaps you and your MAGA buddies should pack up and move. There must people countries out there with forms of government you would prefer.

So Trump is now basically as unpopular as Biden was in 2024 and as unpopular as he was in 2020. It seems as though Americans don't like elderly unfit presidents after all. What a shocker.

Americans don't like corrupt billionaires actively destroying every aspect of America.

Stop trying to improve Trump's image by saying he's like Biden. He's nowhere close. Everyone dislikes Trump more the learn about him. That's why Trump boasts that he "loves the uneducated" who support him.

Republicans do not have a problem with the bolded. Speak for yourself.

A new poll from the University of Massachusetts Amherst is one of the best gauges of this to date.

It found just 69% of 2024 Trump voters agreed that they are “very confident that I made the right choice.”

That’s fewer than the 78% of Kamala Harris voters who said the same of her. It’s also down slightly from the 74% of Trump voters who said they were very confident in their vote back in April.

This poll should have been asked of the voters who voted third party, or stayed home and voted for no one.

True but we must not overlook the fact that it appears Democrats don't have a problem with corrupt billionaires as well. The truth is, 95% of the American population isn't aware of just how corrupt American politics has become under the rule of the GOP and Dem Parties. Maybe they just don't want to hear the truth because it's a painful truth.

They want minimal taxes and government small enough to drown in a bathtub. I keep telling them to go to Somalia if that's what they want.
