Yeah the majority of the US did not vote for him. He got less than 50% of the popular vote in the elections.

Moreover, the are around 245 million eligible voters in the US. Therefore only around 31% of eligible voters actually voted for him. A far cry from "majority".

Musk, on the other hand, isn't popular at all. He is the real danger, while Trump is focusing on issues such as plastic straws.

"U.S. adults were less sure about Musk and his “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) having control over government operations and spending, with only 23% saying he should have “a lot” of influence and 28% saying he should have “some” power, while a combined 49% believed he should have little to no control over the government.

Those responses fell largely along party lines—with Republicans more supportive of Musk’s actions than Democrats—though only 30% of Republicans think Musk and DOGE should have “a lot of” influence while a larger 44% think he should only have “some” power over the government’s operations."

I was called a liar in an earlier thread where I posted Trump’s job approval ratings which are higher now than his first term. It just goes to show that there is a bubble of thought in DC. The rest of America doesn’t view the last few weeks the way DC does.

This shows a +4.8% net favorable rating. A lot of people just didn’t care either way, which is why it’s roughly 48-43 in his favor and doesn’t add up to 100%.

In either case, from the posts on here you would think his actions since taking office would have tanked his approval ratings. They’re not tanking at all relative to where he was on Inauguration Day.

They aren’t tanking but they seem to be trending down. Also why are there three republican financed polls included in the average and no democratic ones?

Pretty much all recent presidents have seen a high on Inauguration Day and then a trajectory down, because we are so polarized.

I’m at a coffee shop in a red-ish area in CA, and there is a 70yo white woman sternly talking to a grisled white man about this piss poor administration, while the grisled white men next to them stare into their coffee.

We didn’t elect Harris because women aren’t monolithic like you want to believe. She doesn’t speak for me, and I voted against her policies.
