Oy vey.

I dated a Jewish guy not a decade ago whose parents referred to me (a black woman) in derogatory terms - to their son - so eff off.

Huh?

Tao on “show earlier quotes” and the context for that statement will be very clear.

I think it’s very much the opposite. I think the goodwill many had unquestioningly for Israel is forever gone.

This is a genocide.

As time passes, and more details emerge, Israel will forever be branded a genocidal nation. It’s a matter of time before that catches up with them. I don’t think the US is going to stop supporting them immediately but our complicity is another way that US is declining on the world stage.

Biden has already sealed his legacy as genocide denier.

Most reasonable people would react like Israel to an attack like Oct 7. This is actually a pretty measured response. How do you think, I don't know, an Iran would respond? Reasonable people are not "branding Israel as a genocidal nation". The appropriation and hyperbole, wow.

Wow. You think this response is measured? What would an Iran do that is worse? Deploy nuclear weapons?

Probably. Aren't they threatening that right now? ^

Ironically, the only ones threatening to obliterate an entire people is Israel. Apparently, we need a genocide in the Middle East to keep people safe.

The two state solution is… not possible. There is no state to be had, Israel has taken too much of the West Bank.

One thing I haven't read on the 1000 plus pages of these threads was the impact of the USA Embasy move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-44120428

Also the Palestinian Consulate in the West Bank was closed and Pres Biden has not re opened it. These issues leave the USA taxpayer with possible 700m Embassy to Israel in the West Bank which could be built on Nabka land.

During the Obama era we were stuck with paying for billions in oversize embassy complexes in Lebanon and Afghanistan. The latter was a massive moneypit of infrastructure throughout the country and we all know how that ended up. https://ktvz.com/news/national-world/cnn-europe-mideast-africa/2023/05/12/a-massive-new-us-embassy-in-a-tiny-middle-east-nation-is-raising-eyebrows/

One side rejected the cleanest partition plan maps- Peel 1937 and American Anglo 1945 as well as all others. The 2 mentioned had international-British or sub UN for British control over Jerusalem and a path to the sea. Tel Aviv is just north of the line in the Israeli State.

Send in a bus caravan from Egypt to evacuate this hospital to Egypt, incubators and all. If Hamas stops them, well true colors.

Egypt does not want Palestinians.

Egypt has already absorbed more than 2 million Palestinians into the country. Egypt is not a big country. Where are you going to place them in Egypt Egypt is also a poor and dysfunctional country, the USA is a supposed rich and functional country and half the people in this board complain about accepting poor uneducated refugees into this country. Yet you think another country should do what the USA is not willing to do. How about the USA accept all the Palestinian refugees if you y’all think it’s so easy to tell
Another country to do it.

I feel as you don't read the papers? Iran is racing for nukes. I can't think of a better way to "obliterate an entire people" ^ But you know this.

So don’t “oy vey” the idea that some Jews are racist. Thanks and good bye!

I haven’t met any, but I’ll take your word for it.

I find it hypocritical that the people wagging their fingers over the killing of innocents in Palestine are silent about the massive atrocities against innocents committed by Assad and Russia in Syria. Or about China's genocide and ethnic cleansing of muslim Uyghurs in Xinjiang.

Ha! Didn’t you know? Sharing your experience with your boyfriend’s racist parents is antisemitic. If white people say racist stuff it’s racist, if Jewish people say racist stuff, it can’t be racist because you’re an antisemite!

Now you know.

Huh? Israel is at war with Hamas. It has provided evacuation notices so people can move south. The IDF is regarded as one of the most humane militaries there is.

Are you not aware of the total bombardment happening RIGHT NOW. It’s an extreme escalation of bombings and a ground assault. the internet has been cut - they are killing EVERYONE.

Israel is showing what the plan has been all along. It’s disgusting and I am sick my tax dollars are paying for it.

My boomer mom just called me in tears. It’s extinction of Palestinians.

I don’t believe you that your mom called you in tears. She probably doesn’t even know where Palestine is.

You don’t have to believe me but it’s true: she’s spent the last week reading up on the last 75 years and cannot believe the spin Americans have been fed. Times are changing.

She learned all of it in a week? OMG GOOD FOR HER.

Proves to me she didn’t know crap before that and doesn’t know crap now.

She knows Israel is commiting genocide in front of the eyes of the entire world. There is no coming back from this.

I see my own kids and cannot fathom the horror.

You can all be like Amy Schumer and project your pearl clutching and bring up beheaded babies but it’s becoming clear what the plan has been all along.

Biden can go to hell for supporting this

Your mom is so ignorant. Sorry, it’s true.

Have you taught her “from the river to the sea” yet?

Go on - Throw your insults around. We see you now for what you are. Israeli propaganda is useless when we can all see what’s happening with our own eyes.

They are like Donald Trump. They are lying, POS who wants people to not believe what their lying eyes are actually seeing. Ignore it, your eyes aren’t seeing what you’re seeing.

Who is the “they” that you are calling “lying POS”? Jews? Yeah, No antisemitism to see here.

As if Hamas were the bedrock of honesty. But ok.

Helpful when the anti semitism shows through so clearly and we can get underneath the faux concern for regional politics and humanitarian realities.

Yes. Everything that is not pro100% Israel is antisemitism. Grow up. The world is not so black and white.

This is untrue. The motto of Hamas is "From the River to the Sea" meaning they want Israel genocided. Iran and others have also called for Israel to be genocided.
