And yet you still find the siren call of MCPS irresistible!

yes, because they are not trained to identify a bullet wound. Cops are trained for these situations. |

Kevin Lewis posted footage of the family leaving the courthouse and one of them was cussing out the reporters. Classy.
https://twitter.com/KevinLewis7News/status/1485715500483153920?s=20 But in the actually classy column is Stephanie Ramirez posting that the family declined to talk to reporters. |
Disturbing. Absolutely disturbing. |
nice family …..sigh |
Oh Kevin Lewis, I guess they are not white and are not Hispanic. |
I’m not sure that I understand your point? They came through the door giving reporters the finger. When asked for comment said “mind your own f$@&ing business b$/@h”. Are we supposed to instead pretend that something else happened? |

Current plan:
Tomorrow will be 1/2 for students. Currently set for AU, pd 6, and pd 7. Although many are concerned revisiting pd6 after being in there for over 5 hours in lockdown not a good idea so the plan could change. Staff stay in the afternoon to train and plan. Basically, once the lockdown was started and police arrived, police were in full control with school personnel only supporting. I know we are frustrated and want to hate on MCPS, but the response was in the hands of police at that point. Lots of concern from staff that the lockdown was worse than the initial event. Prep that never envisioned 5 hours locked in a room in the dark. |
I didn’t click the link. Kevin only reports on Hispanic and black crime. So I didn’t need to click the link, the facts it’s KL says so much. Get to know your local reporters to get balanced news. |
| I should add that any of the above could change. Few questions from staff were answered by admin. Admin is sorting out what they can say and not say. Not allowed to discuss specfics other than timeline of events. No discussion of future security improvements, training, etc. Expect at least 60 people from central office plus police tomorrow. |
I cannot believe that this may get transferred to juvenile court. He’s 17. He bought a gun. He assembled it. He acquired bullets. He sought out the victim with a loaded gun in the school bathroom. He pointed the gun at the victims head with the intent to kill them. The victim tried to save their life by pulling the gun and it was discharged into his pelvic region. This is a terrible set of facts. It should not be a mitigating factor the he is six months shy of 18. |
Yes, of course. How dare he share that on social media.

Are you suggesting that this story is not newsworthy? Are you suggesting that posting unedited video is an embellishment? |
