Are you really that dense? He spent months plotting to kill a stranger that didn't do anything to him. He went to great effort to try to get away with it, indicating he knew is was wrong. He's never demonstrated a hint of remorse.

Pushing for the death penalty is likely to backfire. This is a pretty recognized phenomenon, pushing for higher charges that you can't necessarily support can result in the defendant walking entirely.

Yes, lesser included offenses are a possibility but juries will often think in more binary terms and the prosecutor devotes trial time to shoring up the necessary aggravating factors for a death sentence, which may be one of the weaker aspects of the case.

Not with the federal charges. They just need to show he used a silencer.

All federal murder charges are up for DP now.

But sentencing is for after the verdict and the jury can choose DP or LWOP for federal murder charges. Regardless of what whomever “recommends.”

Just like Biden unilaterally, in his mental state in Dec 2024, pardoned all of DP death row except three individuals. “Downgraded” them to LWOP.

Not sure what’s better personally. I guess one could write more letters or books, read more, and work out more under LWOP….

As a murderer I’d like the DP, more closure and less prison time.

Disagree on other thing bc Biden pardons were actions, Bondi saying seek the DP is just a request. Bfd. So they’ll seek it and either get it or go back to the default of LWOP.
