But sentencing is for after the verdict and the jury can choose DP or LWOP for federal murder charges. Regardless of what whomever “recommends.” Just like Biden unilaterally, in his mental state in Dec 2024, pardoned all of DP death row except three individuals. “Downgraded” them to LWOP.
