Cases jumped over the weekend. What do you think Trump and the CDC will do?

Why are we not talking about the woman from Chevy Chase who couldn’t get the test but thankfully chose to isolate herself?

“Even so, a 56-year-old woman in Chevy Chase, Md., who recently returned from Northern Italy, where the virus has spread dramatically, and who has suffered from a cough and flulike symptoms for 10 days, told The Washington Post that she could not get a coronavirus test at a hospital because she was not hospitalized or severely ill.”

Cases will jump immensely this week as the testing expands. It doesn’t necessarily mean the spread is increasing. It will take a bit to sort out the trend after the criteria for testing is sorted out.

This is insane. It is like they are trying to kill us.

I hope when this is all over there is a thorough investigation into why the US did so little testing at the start of the process. This is criminal.

I can't help but wonder if many cases with flu-like symptoms are actually Coronavirus that are not diagnosed since they are not testing for it.

I work at a huge law firm downtown and whole this woman is not my boss, she fits the description and she thankfully also isolated herself. Her boss ridiculed her indirectly in a meeting behind her back. We are doomed. (And I honestly wish there was disciplinary action against my boss' boss and some kind of reward for my boss for their respective behaviors.)

And she usually rides metro.

It’s interesting that the new cases are popping up in the USrecently. That means the patients would have contracted it mid February. So ppl were brining it is travel still. Maybe a full travel ban of those country vs parts would have been better.

But also curious if it is here and there is no major commotion at any place so either it is here and lots of vry mild cases or few mild and very few serious that do not differ much from usual cases of tough flu or pneumonia with the same outcome rate.

Testing os not creating new cases it only reveals them so not much change in status auo.

They’ve already been doing quite a bit. And have been for the past month. The same folks that were on the Ebola issue have been on this for quite a while, here in the US and abroad.
