Yet another GOP shutdown?

Right? It'd be perfect. But alas Joe Biden is a rapidly declining geriatric who can no longer be seen in public because of his frailty and dementia. His decision to run for reelection is how we got into this mess to begin with. It's probably best Biden just disappears.

Musk shouldn't be in charge.

I’d love to hear one Congressional Democrat state what in the most recent bill they opposed so vehemently. Bueller? Bueller?

China? National Security?

Hmm?

What are you suggesting? Be more specific. What part of the bill?

Given how many Chinese spies Biden has pardoned in the last week or so…

I will repeat an earlier post....

In the post Bush era, the party in control passes their bills. Trump and Bush both pushed their tax cuts and related budgets without negotiating with democrats. The goP also left any of the Biden bills to pass solely on democratic votes.

So no, it is not up to the democrats to support GOP bills that aren't bi-partisan. The dems negoitated with johnson on a bill both parties would support and elon killed it. So elon can fix it, or they can pass the already negotiated bill.

6 bipartisan policies taken out of the spending bill after Musk torched it --

(My understanding, per aides, is these are also out of what's about to be voted on)

1. Provision aimed at ensuring food stamps are replenished for Americans whose benefits are stolen. Possibly as many as 300K affected, per CBPP

2. A series of changes to the operations of pharmacy benefit managers — middlemen in the medicine business that negotiate drug prices with pharmaceutical companies. (EG attempt to end “spread pricing,” where PBMs charge a health plan more for a drug than what they pay to the pharmacies that dispense it.)

3. Pay hikes for members of Congress -- 4% or so increases

4. Transferring control of the land in Washington, D.C., where RFK Stadium sits to the District. (No new funds here)

5. Cruz/Klobuchar bill aimed at cracking down on revenge porn/deepfakes

6. New and expanded restrictions on U.S. investments in China

There is no reason to remove the RFK bill from this. What is the GOP justification of this?

Well to begin with, they had no input in the bill, so it was obvious the republicans did not want their vote either.

Shucks. It looks like the Democrats are bailing the Republicans out again.

Biden never once pardoned a Chinese spy you liar. You can’t even get the basic facts straight and yet you think your opinion is so smart.

Nobody really cares, except Washingtonians who don't matter, and Elon complained about it on twitter.

Really? I am not on Twitter. Are you up to sharing some of his meltdowns. I would like a nice laugh.

We make it up as we go along.

It’s amazing that pos musk has any say at all. Something is severely wrong here.

The new semi-clean CR has passed the House. Now onto the Senate.
Anonymous
Do we expect the Senate to pass it?
Anonymous
So, does this CR provide a cola increase for federal employees? If so, what is the percentage of the increase?

Did it include the cola increase for congressional members?
