It’s a Democratic shutdown. Only 2 Democrats voted for the most recent bill. The vast majority of Republicans voted for it. I’d love to hear one Congressional Democrat state what in the most recent bill they opposed so vehemently. Bueller? Bueller?
I will repeat an earlier post.... In the post Bush era, the party in control passes their bills. Trump and Bush both pushed their tax cuts and related budgets without negotiating with democrats. The goP also left any of the Biden bills to pass solely on democratic votes. So no, it is not up to the democrats to support GOP bills that aren't bi-partisan. The dems negoitated with johnson on a bill both parties would support and elon killed it. So elon can fix it, or they can pass the already negotiated bill.
