Conservative DCUM'ers: how far back do you want LGBTQ rights rolled back?

How many mothers do you think would feel comfortable having their daughter and even themselves undress and change in a locker room that is no longer a female only space? I've heard stories of women who won't use gym locker rooms anymore because they don't feel comfortable and will wait until they are home to change. This is the reality of these policies. Women will feel driven out of their own spaces.

Exactly this. And also, I simply don't want to use a bathroom right next to a biological male. Never have wanted to, and never will want to.

There are transwomen who pass without a second glance, there are biological women who get questioned for being female. How does this work without bathroom police and genitalia inspection?

The overwhelming majority of transwomen want absolutely nothing to do with you. Rather than being fixated on what's between someone's legs, one should instead focus on whether they commit criminal acts. Rape is rape. But merely existing and wearing this instead of that is absolutely not a crime.

There is already an issue of biological women being harassed for trying to use the womens room because they don't conform to some other woman's expectations of how women should look.

How about: Leave people alone and mind your own business unless they actually do something criminal or inappropriate.

Orrrr we could just get the crazy men in skirts back to men’s bathrooms. Hmmmm.

Same here. Thankfully, I live in a state where I can call the police on these crazies and I do. Men don’t belong in women’s spaces no matter what those men say they are.

I'm starting to think we need separate bathrooms for the wacko anti-trans people like the poster above. God help us if we're women with a stocky build or short hair.

The posters in this thread are going to force women with short hair to use the mens room. Wonderful

Not a Republican nor a Democrat; however, I and all my friends and acquaintances (of both parties); don't want any LGBTQ rights rolled back. Everyone in the LGBTQ community should have the same rights as everyone else. We just ask that schools leave our kids alone. We want our teachers to teach reading, math, science, and history. We do not want them teaching our kids, especially the young ones, that they can easily change their gender. That's none of the school's business. That's our business, not yours.

no one had to be suspicious of women in the women’s bathroom until leftist lunatics like you started pretending that men can be women if they say the article of faith “I’m trans.” Let’s pass stiff felony laws banning the scrotums from women’s spaces and women won’t have to worry anymore about being mistaken for the men you held the door open for.

This is ridiculous. The vast majority of women will never come in contact with a trans person. It’s a small percentage of the population. How could a population that small drive out the overwhelming number of CIS women?! Your numbers and panic make zero sense. You need to find a real problem.

This is an argument in bad faith. The issue isnt primarily that truly trans women will assault women and girls. You know that. The issue is that there is now no definition of "woman" and any man can enter spaces that used to be for women. And men rape at much higher rates, and they seek women who are vulnerable due to location, intoxication, etc. Women want to be able to enter, for example, the gym locker room without fear.

I work out in a secluded gym with no staff. You just badge in. The locker rooms have badge entries, but we have tested and men's badges are coded to give them access to the women's locker room. I still work out there. But I'm scared every time I go into the locker room. This is the issue. I'm not scared of trans women. I'm scared of men.

This kind of fear is legitimate. I had a friend who was raped in a bar bathroom, by a stranger, when I was in college. Ever since, I’ve been slightly nervous in setting like isolated public bathrooms.

The thing is, my friend’s rape was by a cos man. I would wager all or very nearly all attacks like this are by cis men. They have absolutely no reason to go through the trouble of disguising themselves as women because they can just take advantage of isolation, greater physical strength, lack of belief in/care about women victims, and everything else they’ve always used as weapons. Why go through an elaborate ruse? Your enemy isn’t trans women.

It’s also true that some public places have taken really misguided steps to make their spaces more gender-inclusive. Your gym’s badge system may be one of them, it may be to let employees in to opposite-gender spaces for repair or emergencies, or it may just be an oversight. I’ve seen gender-neutral bathrooms that also raise risks for women — eg, they make one big enclosed room with gender-neutral stalls and shared sink space. I was in one like that at the Navy Yards Whole Foods where the only occupants were me and a cis man, side by side at the sinks, and given my friend’s story I was extremely uncomfortable. But, again, situations like that aren’t the fault of trans women (and trans men) or non-binary people or whoever for existing and having needs. They’re the fault of companies that are doing a crappy job of finding solutions.

Not surprised at all to see that it was Whole Foods who had implemented this gender-neutral bathroom. How idiotic.

100% this. And I have to question the mental stability of parents who argue otherwise. The parody of women is incredibly insulting.

NP. If the surgical and cosmetic changes you voluntarily undertook to defraud people into thinking you’re the opposite sex leave you a pariah with no clear space to go to, then that’s YOUR problem. Decisions have consequences. You’d better channel all that grooming energy into creating trans spaces.

Why would you want to treat other people so poorly? What makes you want to ostracize good and kind people?

What exactly makes a cross dressing man good and kind? Trans women are women and now, all trans women are good and kind because Gender Jesus has washed them in his cross-sex hormones?

Another thing that I want is for trans women to stop competing with biological women in women's sports. A biological man should not be competing against biological women. Full stop. Men's bodies are different and have the advantage of being stronger and bigger; and that gives them an unfair advantage. What's happening now is insane. It's like we've gone back in time before the women's movement.

Oh come on. You pretend you can tell the difference yet you can't even tell when a real woman is real. And now you're running around accosting women, shrieking at them, threatening them, and calling police on them saying "you MADE me do it!"

No, you did that on your own.
