Conservative DCUM'ers: how far back do you want LGBTQ rights rolled back?

Sorry but no. Men are our protectors. I pity the bio male who tries to use a ladies room with my young daughter, if my husband or sons are around

This is so funny. If you’re in DC, one in 33 residents is trans. You’re FREQUENTLY in the bathroom. With trans women. Even if you live in some other part of the country, every 300 times you or your daughter use the bathroom, that other woman in there is trans. You just have no idea.

Using your husband as a threat to attack someone for legally peeing isn’t a good look and would end up ruining your life if he actually beat someone up or murdered them.

Wow! Just a few pages ago (yesterday at 10:03) a poster claimed exactly the opposite. "This is ridiculous. The vast majority of women will never come in contact with a trans person. It’s a small percentage of the population. How could a population that small drive out the overwhelming number of CIS women?! Your numbers and panic make zero sense. You need to find a real problem."
I'm the only poster that questioned that claim. Have things really changed that much in less than 24 hours?

If you’re in DC, the population is 2.77% trans so yeah you will. A lot. You just don’t know it or you’d be seeing trans people everywhere.

People know you’re a man, honey. They’re just too scared of how crazy you look to do anything. I dial the cops on sight and I’ve yet to get a cross-dressing man wrong.

Are you dialing the cops before or after your husband takes care of them?

You’re talking to different people, young man. Many, many people object to your untreated mental health issues being imposed on us.

Not really. Most really don't care. Try it

I care and I’m going to call the police on you and your brothers every chance I get. For all your tough talk online, most times, you guys scurry off in panic like roaches exposed to Raid when you hear me dialing. Only once did the crazy man stay put with his big jaw held out in defiance, and then he had to answer officers’ questions about his conduct and manhood in front of a gawking audience and started crying like the fool he was.

You don’t belong in women’s spaces and some of us will send you that message with great pleasure however we have to.

Crazy men will say and do anything. They have no morals, honor, value system, or sense of fair play. It’s all about getting their way *especially* at the expense of women, over our scared objections. You all need to stop debating madness and join with other women to end their movement.

Yeah that’s not happening. No one is constantly calling the police on trans people in DC. This must be some kind of power fantasy you have.

This is ridiculous. That’s a cis woman you’re talking to. Maybe even yourself. No trans woman talks like that Pp did. Maybe in the delusional mind of someone that has no trans friends that’s what they sound like.

Cis women get harassed a lot more often than trans women just because there are so many more cisgender women. A lot of the people that think “I can always tell” are actually really bad about figuring out if someone is trans.

No, most trans women are very clockable.

+1 Women are much better than men at detecting biological sex because our survival has depended on it. It’s easier to fool people with filtered photos but easy to recognize when seen in person. Everything from gait, musculature, bone structure etc are all clear signs. Out of politeness though women aren’t going to say anything so they may think they pass when in reality they don’t.

Yep. I was getting antibiotics at CVS a few months ago and there was a man in makeup, buying pink nail polish, and claiming his name was Madeleine while picking up some meds. He was 6'2" and built like a linebacker. No universe in which he will "pass." Wearing makeup doesn't make you a woman. Plastic surgery doesn't make you a woman.

And this, my dear friends from DCUM, is why people don't clock trans women. They see someone at the start of their transition and think that's what trans women look like.

It's not true. Everyone comes in contact with trans people but most people never notice it or only notice it in the situation listed above with the early transition 6'2 trans woman "with shoulders like a linebacker". The fact is, most people are completely oblivious and have no idea when a trans person is near them. Despite all the claims, most trans people are doing their best to blend into the background. Most aren't making a scene or wearing a bunch of Pride stuff (except at Pride). Most don't have blue hair. Well, I'm talking about binary trans people here. Some nonbinary people do attempt to present more gender nonconforming.

In DC, you're around trans people all the time. If you're in the Metro, someone on that train is trans. Probably someone in the car if it's full. People living in other states post here though so maybe they aren't around trans folks as often but even they are at times and likely don't know it.

Are you really a libertarian "I don't care what consenting adults do" as long as it isn't discussed in the school system? Or do you think that the LGBTQ lifestyle itself is detrimental to national identity? Are you in favor of abolishing the right to gay marriage? Or making homosexuality a crime? It does feel that something changed recently and this is the first Pride month since the late 1990's where corporations and local governments seem to be afraid to wave the rainbow flag.

I don't have to read this thread to know there are multiple posts along the lines of "I don't want to roll back LGBTQ rights, I just want them to all go away so I can pretend they don't exist, and I support laws to make that happen."

No one has said anything of the kind, but do go on with your ASSumptions. Indeed, many posters do NOT want to roll back LGBTQ rights. Wanting to retain separate women's and men's spaces has nothing to do with wanting anyone to "go away." How childish and ridiculous to claim otherwise.

Right, I didn't anticipate the thread being hijacked by bigots demagoguing about restrooms. My bad.
