MOCO BOE update: Beidleman Report summary

McKnight keeps here job (somehow) and innundates staff with even more trainings, surveys, whatever.

The BOE will continually coast by on the apple ballot. The fox guarding the hen house.

I think it is a positive that the Washington Post brought all of this to light, and maybe a few people have opened their eyes to what MCPS has become in the last 20 years. The reputation of my youth (I'm 42) is so, so far gone.

I agree with this. MCPS is a mess.

And what is the report going to do? So people can speculate who is saying and what? So the community can spew lies and humiliate people. This is a country of misery loves company. Let mcps take the course it needs to take and let it be. It’s like watching a lynching. This is the same as the slave masters putting the slave on a block while all of you watch him get lynched. STOP IT

Most of these posters are foaming at the mouth over this simply because they hate the idea of an AA woman super. It's hard to take seriously since this happened years before she was in even super.

As a black person, it's disgusting when people like you use race as a cover for toxic and abusive behavior. Monifa nor Beadleman get a pass for inflicting harm on others or neglecting their core duties just because they are black. That is not how this works. They are not exempt from criticism or held to a lesser standard because they're black. That's insulting.

First off don’t pretend you’re black to get a clap from the klan. No one is saying they are innocent but when a black man is ridiculed and posted all over the media every week over something that hundreds of white men have done under the table it’s sick. Where is the Munsey report? Why wasn’t the Damascus principals face blasted for months? Beidleman isn’t innocent of wrongdoing but historically black men have been set up to fail in this society. It’s sad he fell into the trap when he is smarter than 99% of mcps leadership. You think they aren’t releasing the report just because? You think they are protecting Beidleman and mcps? I beg to differ. They have seen and heard some things that I believe the so called victims have done to go right along with his behavior.

You think something is new here? That is laughable. You have missed a lot of abuse cases in MCPS where the victims, even the 7 year old ones, are attacked and run out of town. You think this about race? You are desperate to cover for an institution that has a long and documented history of protecting abusers and attacking victims.

What has been exposed here is the blatant cover up by the MCPS superintendent. Normal procedure for MCPS but clearly documented for the public in this case.

Common sense would tell you it’s stupid to dispute the race of an anonymous poster whose race you have no way identifying or validating.

But just to double down: I am black. And I am not impressed by Beidleman or Monifa. There is nothing brilliant about either of them. In fact, if anything, I’ve been seriously disappointed at how bad they are at doing the PR/politician act, which seems to be their top priority.

If you’re gonna be a PR hack, at least do so in a convincing way. But they can’t.

As for Dr. Munsey, the Post is working on a story about him too. Stay tuned.

MCPS is rotten and Monifa and Joel are integral parts of that rot. And they must be held accountable.

First of all, the interjection of race here is downright comical, and you should be embarassed.

What did Munsey even do? A DWI? That's literally a drop in the bucket compared to the plethora of accusations against Biedleman

Race is a huge factor and no of you serial undercover klan posters will make us think any differently. If you want to make change be the change you want to see instead of sitting behind a computer on a blog. Get a position on the board or the council. Stop sitting in the classroom and taking the abuse. Get into a high ranking position and make a change.

I know society is in free fall. I've been saying this for 40 years!

Well he seems to not be on the roster anymore so it had to be more than a DWI.

Agree McKnight wasn't even super when this harassment went on. These people need to move on.

It went on during the tenure of three supers, including McKnight.

Normal people moved on frome race ages ago but equity-obsessed progressives moved it front and center in order to justify racially discriminatory policies. So when a Supreme Court Justice is chosen because she is 1. Black 2. A Woman 3. A Democrat 4. Qualified, you can't act surprised when people question her qualifications. When a school district hires a super because she is 1. Black 2. A Woman 3. Qualified, you can't act surprised when people question her qualifications.

Also during the period when Dr. McKnight was Deputy Superintendent, and then Acting Superintendent.
