So we should all ignore and be cool with the fact that a man was promoted to principal despite having numerous sexual harassment complaints against him because he's black? And we should just ignore the incompetence and the shadiness of the system that allowed this to happen because dude is black? You and your tiny bird brain need to STFU.

Typical angry white women that can’t stand to be told the truth. It’s a historical fact that a black man is dug into the ground when a white man with the same offense is given a slap on the wrist.

What the hell? Provide evidence of this happening in MCPS with a principal of a different race and what the outcome was. THIS WAS A COVERUP. Everyone's heads need to roll. GTFO with this race baiting. I DARE you say that to a victim's face you absolute coward of a human.

You are not a victim. Save it…

Maybe YOU need a reality check. I'll be sitting with the actual victims. Not an highly educated black man who know better than to do what he did. And what is happening to him? HMMMMMM? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Probably still getting paid I bet.

My apologies for the poor grammar. This weirdo keyboard warrior shouldn't get me upset, but ugh. I have been a victim of sexual assault from a person of color so YOU SAVE IT and let people who actually want change talk. Not someone who is trying to make issues where there are none. Stick to the facts. People were victimized. That's what the focus is. He needed to be stopped a long time ago and he was instead protected and promoted. What a horrific slap in the face to the real victims.

Facts....white man was demoted for 5 years and is now a principal again. JB is an asset bit definitely NOT the only one. They need to clean current and old messy house!

Which white man?

Can't we just focus on the culture of harassment and bullying of teachers. It always turns racist in mcps.

Because that’s what it is. In recent years there has been clear racial disparities on the punishment of black vs white offenders. This is a clear example of just that. Was there wrong doing? YES but let’s look at the racial disparities when it comes to punishment. Race will not be ignored as “they” want it to be.

The post should have this much vigor when it comes to MCPS offenders of another race before this becomes an outrage of racial injustice. If we want to stick to improving the process within MCPS then let’s stick to that and stop the Monifa and Beidleman head hunt.

There are so many personal anecdotes from posters on their crusade against public education and so little evidence...

There is very much evidence on the time sheets, classes that have teachers subbing on their planning periods, cameras etc. It's just buried by higher ups that want to manipulate their resources for financial and professional gain.

NP. ???? You really want to paint them as victims of racism? That sounds nuts and like some kind of crazy political agenda. I am normally not a "heads should roll" type, but after reading all the details in the various news articles, he is criminal as well as not in compliance and admin, knowing of issues, facilitated the continued abuse.

MCEA burned their credibility supporting BOE candidates that didn’t support them back. They honestly would have been better off endorsing and getting folks like Steven Austin and Ester Wells on the BOE who would share their belief that it is corrupt and would actually hold MCPS accountable. Karla Silvestre standing arm-in-arm with McKnight through this scandal is a big red flag.

No one would have been better off with Steven Austin.

That's right. Anyone who is corrupt would not be better off because S. Austin is actually an ethical person who wants to do what's right, unlike you MCPS apologists.

83% of MoCo voters preferred other candidates.

Correction: 87% of MoCo voters preferred other candidates.

Because more than half those voters are asleep at the wheel and would rather listen at the folks who were calling him names and lying about him. This is what happens when we keep voting for the same people. Look at where we are.

No, I listened to him pretty closely because I find the current Board insipid beyond belief. The guy is a nut; there was no way to ethically vote for him.

When I think about the collective experience of stress-related illness among people Joel Beidleman affected, I find it very hard to work up sympathy for a situation where—for a change—the wages of mismanagement are flowing up.

I happen to usually vote the apple ballot. I don't actually try to but they always pick the best candidates.
