Is it really that surprising to you that parents don’t want books with images of sex acts in their kids’ schools? Parents don’t want sexual content in schools. For decades that wouldn’t have even been up for discussion. What does "depiction" of sex encompass? It's ok if a book describes sex with words as long as there aren't pictures? Is any reference to sex out? None of the book banners seem able to make this distinction. As a woman, I sometimes am more turned on by words over photos. Seems unfair to ban one over the other. “Neither,” by the way, is an amazing children’s book that these mouth breathers have banned. I gather it’s supposed to be about LGBTQIA+ but it’s really about anyone who has felt like they don’t fit into the pre appropved categories. There’s no sex in it, and if anyone claims that there is, then that person is telling on themselves and their attraction to cartoons.
