| Well they can always try and recall the judge - but it’s the new normal - Don’t know how to lose fair and square - always the victim and blaming others - feel sorry for their kids - teachers know which parents are crazy- they really so obvious about it. I have friends that are counselors and teachers and they will not to the extra mile anymore for kids of these parents. |
Petty teachers taking out their issues on children is a tale as old as the school house itself. |
If you assume this is largely about energizing people for upcoming elections, the focus shouldn't be on recalling a local judge, who had little choice under the law when the prosecutor refused to pursue the case, but instead on: * recalling the Commonwealth Attorney (Steve Descano), a Democrat (like Tholen) who kicked the case over to another Democratic Commonwealth's Attorney, who refused to pursue the case (shocking) * continuing to highlight Tholen's bad decisions as a School Board member, which even if not meeting the legal standard for a recall ought to keep her from being re-elected. |
Maybe if y’all recall every elected official in Fairfax County you’ll finally be happy? |
I wouldn’t favor that. However, Tholen is a self-serving fraud propped up by a lot of other equally self-serving Democrats who value party unity and dominance over serving their constituents. The sooner these people are called out and removed by any legal means the better. |
The only respons this "whatever." I would say votong out Decano next time around is a good idea. He is very bad, in my opinion, for Fairfax. A recall would be stupid and futile, but he should go - and should not have been elected in the first place. Not because of the Tholen thing, just because of has very poor decision-making in so many area. |
| You can’t have it both ways. Fairfax is full of people who instinctively vote only for Democratic and won’t revisit that decision unless they get frequent reminders that their elected officials are only looking out for their own interests, not the best interests of their districts or constituents. |
No. Then they’d go & find some other irrational complaint. |
You can always tell the party hacks encouraging people to shut up and take what they’re given. |

People aren't supposed to be active citizens with opinions they express freely.
They are supposed to be mere subjects. |
The judge denied tholen's motion to dismiss - in other words, there was enough to move forward. So it wasnt dismissed by the judge. Instead, it was turned over to Descano. He received $2,344 from tholen (vpap.org) and recused himself, turning this to James Hingeley, who, not surprisingly, determined that tholen did indeed do her job. Descano and Jim are both happy recipients of funding from the Justice and Safety PAC (Descano received $601369 (vpap.org) and Jim $5,000. This is one of the PACs that sends money into local elections to tilt results in favor of far-left democrats. |
So did you feel the same way as pelosi and her dems tried to recall trump via impeachment?? Under your logic, that was also a waste of time. anyway.....tholen, please step aside. we will not forget all the poor decisions you made. Many of us who voted for you before will NOT vote for you again. |
That you think any local office is held by anyone “far-left” really puts your partisan agenda right up front. |
Not PP, but it's not hard to get confused when local Democrats call themselves "progressive" all the time. Eventually you realize people like Elaine Tholen are only "progressive" if a policy requires someone else to sacrifice. If it's about their own neighborhoods and schools they clutch their pearls harder than any Republican. |
| Are you implying that "progressive" is synonymous with "far left"? |
