Stop feeding this troll. |
| Correct MD kids who are hold backs will gradually come back to where they belong by sophomore year once their classmates hit puberty. |
So out of 40 kids, according to you, the class makeup is 2 repeats; 3/4 born after 9/1 and 2 born after 1/1. This means your son's class at Mater Dei has 35 kids who are born before 9/1. That is outrageous and there is no way the makeup of other schools comes even close to this ratio. Do those 3/4 plus at least 1/2 repeats (probably more because you didn't say how many repeated prior to 6th grade) play lacrosse? If so, then there will be at least 4-6 kids turning 15 during the Spring lacrosse season just from Mater Dei. They will be competing against children 15 - 23 months younger. Please try to justify this. |
It is called Madlax DC Dogs |
If true, that's hilarious. |
Even worse, madlax dc dogs is primarily a mater dei team. They have 3 who either turned 16 or are turning 16 during the spring season. Thats's 3 8th graders turning 16. |
No dog in this fight either. I have no problem w/ redshirted, educationally delayed kids playing w/ their redshirted school classmates against other redshirted, educationally delayed schools. US Lacrosse has weighed in about age being the best and most verifiable determinant for grouping kids for playing a contact sport like lacrosse. I practice w/ my kids every day so they can play in club lax against redshirts who exploit their momentary size and speed advantages playing against younger kids. My boys are/will be taking HS math in 7th grade - so feel free to tell the Mater Dei parents not be slackass in getting their kids caught up w/ at least age appropriate curriculum. |

Bully for that you have that much time to devote but others probably don't and the recognized association has recommended against this practice.
None before 9/1 is probably unrealistic, some is probably ok, teams where well over 50% are born prior to 9/1 goes against any guideline and teams with 16 year olds playing against 13 year olds should be ashamed and disallowed and outed. And mater dei justifying this is mind blowing. |
That's the point. Mater dei parents and admin aren't interested in getting caught up. They are looking to not only game the system but to blow it apart. They seek an overwhelming and unfair advantage and then brag about it in the moment. |
| It's the culture. Have you gone tp a CYO basketball game? Or a parochial lax game (youth or HS)? The parents consistently act like animals. |
| Are games still being played today with the weather coming? |

rinse, wash, repeat.

Even the head matter says 50% of 6th grAde is red-shirted. Even more in 8th. Landon has a ton of kids ready for 9th go to 8th but no surprise to md. Sta....really? |
| gosh no. STA would never do anything like that... |
Prep - SSSA was moved to 7 pm |
