My Mater Dei son is on a club lax team and every guy from other schools on it born after June have been held back. Mater Dei is no different from other private schools, esp all boys schools. No difference. Period. Also, the number of boys who enter Mater Dei in 6th and are repeating is very small. 1 or 2 out of 40. In my son’s class, maybe 2 were born before June. 3/4 were born after sept. And a couple were Born after Jan of the next year. The exaggeration on this issue is huge. Can someone provide similar stats for Landon or STA. I know a number of boys there and the fact pattern is the same.
So out of 40 kids, according to you, the class makeup is 2 repeats; 3/4 born after 9/1 and 2 born after 1/1. This means your son's class at Mater Dei has 35 kids who are born before 9/1. That is outrageous and there is no way the makeup of other schools comes even close to this ratio. Do those 3/4 plus at least 1/2 repeats (probably more because you didn't say how many repeated prior to 6th grade) play lacrosse? If so, then there will be at least 4-6 kids turning 15 during the Spring lacrosse season just from Mater Dei. They will be competing against children 15 - 23 months younger. Please try to justify this.
It is called Madlax DC Dogs
If true, that's hilarious.
