IAC Lacrosse 2019 Season

I was surprised to see on the recruiting lists so many commits from Prep. Anyone know how many commits are currently on the team? What about for the other IAC teams?

Are schedules out yet? Does Zaga usually play IAC teams?

Is Churchill playing any IAC teams in 2019?

None on the schedule as of now.

I am told some good va public schools will be playing a few iac teams. Hope it's true. Would signal that the public private lacrosse divide might be shrinking.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...whatever, and Volkswagon's are Porche's with a different body style. Shut up and go away.

Try not to be a dick, at least for a few hours.

Landon has played VA publics for several years. Robinson, Lake Braddock, etc. I also think they played Churchill a few years ago.

I also think Bullis has played some publics in recent years.

Personally, I would love to see more competition between the New York publics and the IAC. I believe there are a myriad of reasons as to why this isn't happening, but stranger things have happened.

For the uninitiated, NY publics are the traditional powerhouses.

Churchill will not play any of the better IAC teams again. 2 years ago Churchill played Landon at home and it was maybe 11-0 at half. By not being exposed, Churchill can allow the Post and others to suggest that there is parity with the privates. There is not.

3 years ago it was 6-5 at half.

A bit harshly stated, but the Post is a joke when it comes to "rankings" and all met in lacrosse. They have to sell papers, but it is amazing when they rank a Churchill, Robinson or other public in the mix with the top IAC and WCAC programs. There is no comparison.

What was final 3 years ago?

There is no comparison between the IAC/WCAC top teams and the publics. The public’s do not have the depth and never will to compete. I remember Churchill getting run off the field two years ago at the Fall Landon tourney. VA private’s wouldn’t even hang with the lower half of the divisions.

I would have loved to have seen Churchill play Landon this past spring. I would have given Churchill a chance to win the game.
