Not gonna happen, nobody is going to spend their afternoons sitting in traffic trying to get to practice. |
Ha! You clearly haven't met many lacrosse Moms (or Dads, sorry). |
Are you asking for the U13 Black Ops or U14? |
A lot have already. Better experience > Traffic |
^^ Troll trying to stir the pot. Probably CM or a parent of his trying to justify their actions. What will happen is NL, DCX, and VLC will all get a few MadLax players whose parents aren't afraid of CM. NL and DCX will also gain a few from MRR and some smaller clubs. Though VLC has beaten BLC/DCX - the BLC players are not going to come to VA, and the VLC players are not going to go to MD. Cavalier/Hammers/TRW best players will join VLC, as 7th grade is usually when that occurs. If you have questions, ask parents who has been there, and done that! |
How specifically is DCE a better experience? Traffic is one issue but better to play with kids in your area during Hs and both clubs offer equal exposure. In HS the showcases and prospect days>the club |

DCE21:
2x NLF National Championships (closest thing to an actual NC) and Streamed lived on ESPN 3x Crabfeast Champions (I think King Crab would state this is the top tourney in the country with the best competition) Top Team in the Nation. Sidelines full of coaches watching = WHOLE TEAM COMMITTED *And btw, there are multiple kids who brave the traffic to be part of above VLC: Your turn |
Parent of an older kid (2022)...so question I have is when did VLC become a destination? VLC is non-existent at the 21 and 22 level. |
Not sure if any of those kids, on the great DCX teams you mention, were ever VLC or even NL, but maybe I'm wrong?? Kudos to them and their parents for committing the time and energy to gather all that success. I'm sure that playing for DCX was the only way it would have occurred!! |
DCE isn't playing in NLF events going forward, correct? That is a big change as it relates to the opportunity at DCE. I am sure they will fill-in with solid events, but tough to compete w NLF. DCE22 is really good/not great; then a big fall-off. The best years all seem to rotate a bit between NL, ML, and DCE. No club has a monopoly on this area and forming a good team. I would be DCE hopes to poach some players from BlackOps as it sets its HS teams for this summer and next for the 25's and 26's. |
| It's interesting that somebody associated with BLC/DCE is now so interested in recruiting the VLC 2026 players. What do the VLC players have that your own players are lacking? |
My guess is the PP is a disgruntled VLC parent looking to convince others to make a move with him. Not much of team player, probably hoping that switching teams will make his son better? |
| VLC had much better teams 2015-2019 just watch on Saturday if you don’t believe me. DCE has better teams 2021 and 2022. 2023 is equal at best and 2024-2026 too early to tell. So why leave your friends and face traffic to go from Loudoun to Rockville to play?? Both good clubs but not really competing for the same players. |
| VLC players won’t move to DCE or NL, parents like the playing time their kids currently get. Besides most will go to local Fairfax County and loudoun county public school or at best PVI. I haven’t heard of any kids on VLC hitting up the big DC or Maryland prep schools. Only kid maybe leaving is the future Calvert Hall FoGo. |
Nice try, but a better guess would be a disgruntled BLC Mom trying to upgrade after the 10 goal beatdown by Crabs. |
