Murder at Lululemon in Bethesda

Well they do carry mens, so they would have to have mens size shoes. I assume that they like to have large shoes to err on the larger side. DH is a 13 and he's only 5'10", so he would appreciate it!

On some level, the suspect must be relieved that's it's all out and she doesn't have to keep up with her lies. The truth will set you free.

Makes perfect sense to me-- most guys won't come close to a 14 so they'll easily slip into that size for hemming purposes. Hemming is off if the shoes are too small (you don't stand naturally).

And yet the store has them, so what's the point in doubting it. The shoes are there. They belong to the store.

I didn't even think about this. I can't imagine how difficult all this is for her family. And I can't even pretend to be able to put myself in their shoes. But I have to think that I would feel a little relived that her last moments weren't part of some gang-rape by two strangers.

They said forensic AND physical. Maybe it was something belonging to Brittany? Like whatever she claimed to have left in the store, or her keys or something. I can't imagine what she would have left behind that would have been an indicator that she was in the car (other than forensic DNA, etc.) I hate to say it, but she seems to have been pretty level headed about trying to cover her tracks--tying herself up, roughing herself up, moving the car, making footprints with size 14 shoes, claiming one of the men was 5'3"... All of those things, btw, will get her nailed on a first degree murder charge.

It seems to me that if she used a pair of shoes to fake the murder, then she had to get rid of them. She probably took those and the murder weapon and stuffed them in the car to dispose of later, farther from the scene. Stupid mistake, but let's face it, they could probably tell that the footprints were fake and her injuries self-inflicted. However determined she was, she does not know how to fake the right kind of injuries or make realistic footprints.

I knew the story was fishy. While I am relieved that the story wasn't real, the real story is so disturbing and tragic.

I just cannot imagine sitting there all night with your murder victim. She must be insane.

Her other option would have been to run. Insane or freaking out.

I wonder of any of us DCUMers are going to get this jury duty........

why didn't she just leave the scene and allow the police to believe that Jayna returned to the store alone and somehow let in her eventual killer? Why tie herself up, stay overnight with the body, etc? She could have set up the crime scene (staged the footprints, etc) and then fled.

I guess she must have had injuries from the scuffle and knew that the police would come questioning her and would wonder about the injuries.

Ummm pretty much insane. Freaking out would mean run for the hills.

Just because "normal" people find the BEHAVIOR insane does not necessarily meet the legal definition of insane. She knew the difference between right and wrong. Look at everything (we know so far) she did to conceal her crime.

That was uncalled for. THIS is the very reason why I'm pissed she's Black....

Maybe you should be pissed at Blacks for committing the vast majority of violent crimes rather than being pissed at others for noticing.

I don't want to go into this with someone so uninformed about the way the world works and why so many young Blacks use have a huge disrespectful for White society. I'd suggest you enroll in some sort of AA History course...I don't have the time to educate you on what is common sense to even a fourth grader.

So when Blacks have a "huge disrespect" for "White Society", there's NOTHING racist about that? But if Whites dint respect "Black Society", then they're racist bigots? Is that the point that you're making?

No that's not the point I'm making. And even if I was, disrespect (by either race towards another) is not racist. Like I said, take a course and educate yourself.

Now, let's move on and stick to the fact that a horrible act has been committed. I will continue to pray for the victim's family and I hope the murderer will be punished to the full extent of the law.
