Murder at Lululemon in Bethesda

So scary - I was shopping in that lululemon yesterday. Hate to think that one of the girls working there may have been the victim of such a violent crime . Sincere condolences to the families.

What happened was somehow, last night the murderer robbed, raped, and battered the victims.

I personally spoke with the witness who went into the store this morning. It was a random bystander. And the Lululemon girls were too afraid to go in. They said that someone was still in there.

The guy went into the store, and investigated.

He found one MALE body, he specifically said male, dead and one female locked up in the bathroom unconscious.

As soon as they saw that, they called police immediately to report a robbery.

And a murder. I don't know why the reporters said it was two women....the witness said it was a male...and not one who worked at the store...

Sorry hon, he didn't find a MALE.

Capt. Paul Starks, a police spokesman, says both women were found near the back of the Lululemon Athletica store on Bethesda Avenue around 8 a.m. Saturday.

The two women were found after an employee came to the store to open it for the day Saturday. The employee saw that something was wrong and told somebody on the street to call 911.

The Lululemon at Tysons Corner was closed today. I wondered why and then read this on here. How tragic and sad for those women and their families.

Bethesda.patch.com has posted an update.

This is really sad, and scary. Are they entertaining any thoughts that it could be connected to the rockville attempted rape I thought I read about recently? (might be remembering wrong - don't want to google and scare myself at night...)

Where's the lady that mocked the dead person at chick fil a in woodbridge just the other day?

I wonder if they had initially been planning to rob the Apple store and took advantge of an opportunity. Just horrific.

Or maybe they were planning to follow someone home from the Apple store and rob them like a couple of months ago in G'town?? and was hanging around outside and saw the Lululemon store empty?

Horrible. Unspeakably horrible. The fact that the line between a financial crime and unspeakable savagery toward women can be so slim.

they were probably targeting lululemon because they figured there'd be a high likelihood that only women would be working.

how horrifying for the women who survived. what must she have been going through all that time that she lay there.

Just read this

"Starks says the two women closed the shop at 9 p.m. Friday, but one of them left something in the store and called the other woman to get back in.

A short time later two men, dressed in all black with their hands and faces covered, entered the store.

Police would not discuss how much money was taken or details of the attack.

No one is in custody, but police say they are looking for two male suspects. One of the robbers is described as about 6 feet tall and the other about 5 feet 3 inches tall."

This. Except rather than seeing the Lululemon store 'empty,' exactly, they noticed that Victim #1/#2 left the door unlocked and the store totally unattended when they let themselves back in. Change of plans, I bet, for the perps.

So awful.

This is just unthinkable. I mean, I think of Bethesda as being so safe, and I bet those poor women did too. My hearts go out to them and their families.

I really hope that this was not an inside job.
