I truly feel bad for you if you actually believe this. |
What concessions? Why ask the taxpayers for money then? You lie like a rug just like Trump. |
WRONG WRONG AND WRONG. The MCA hasnt been ratified yet. Nothing has been extracted. Also, all the benefits go to corporations, they are not taxing the trade in the bill, it is a free trade bill! |
+1 So many promises broken. Trump supporters don't care. But they will when their SNAP benefits stop coming and they don't get their tax refunds. |
If this was the case, then why is the government shut down? |
"Stupid retort"? Your Dear Leader made the claim that Mexico would pay. Are you calling Trump stupid? |
His supporters are a small number in the US. The vast majority of people don’t want the wall. He won’t win in 2020 because he has pissed off more voters than he has appeased. |
They don't. That is a FOX NEWS/RIGHT WING talking point that is patently false, but you somehow believe it. The rest of your post is false as well. there are no new concessions from Mexico and Mexico is not paying in abstract or in a sense, at all. And, the new NAFTA isn't even signed. So you are o-fer on the points you try to make in this post. |
NAFTA 2.0 isn’t even in effect. Even if it were, no one has been able specify which provisions would increase revenue. Even if there were provisions, those funds would not go to the Us treasury. How would they be used to pay for a wall? Increased tax revenue? That wouldn’t come close to the cost of “a big, beautiful wall”. I swear you idiots would believe the tooth fairy were paying for this damn wall if trump said so. |
+1 Not to mention, these idiots think Mexico is paying for it out of a trade bill that isn’t even in effect yet! Oh yes, money is coming out of an unratified treaty! We aren’t dealing with the smartest people, these Trump supporters. |
You’re right that we don’t care. We just want the wall built. Every day that the government is shut down is a gift for the President and his supporters as it makes it that much more likely that he will be re-elected. And you don’t even know how to handle that reality, do you? |
Maybe he will furlough himself. |
The president of the Air Line Pilots Association — which represents 61,000 pilots — writes to Trump: "I am writing to urge you to take the necessary steps to immediately end the shutdown ... adversely affecting the safety ... of our national airspace system."

NP. No it’s fantasy that why |
Other than the below, what are these considerable concessions in which you speak? The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative said Mexico had agreed to ensure that 75 percent of automotive content be produced within the trade bloc (up from a current 62.5 percent) to receive duty-free benefits and that 40 percent to 45 percent be made by workers earning at least $16 an hour. Those changes are meant to encourage more auto production in the United States. Cited from The Global News August 28, 2018. So, Mexico will eventually have their autoworkers earning $16.00 an hour. But honestly, other than the above, NAFTA was left largely intact. It was simply renamed and propoganda for Trump and his follies. |
