They already have their numbers set for Scottish and RUK students. More EU students would take the place of internationals. Zero chance they make them compete with Scottish students. SNP would raise hell.

Clearly you are oblivious to what happened 10-12 years ago and not keeping up with the times….pressure has been mounting and there looks to be a real path towards a referendum sooner rather than later.

I didn’t realize how small St Andrews is relative to the other Scottish unis (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Strathclyde).

1st year’s class of about 2000 is the smallest of any of the top 20 UK unis.

I knew that. Just didnt know the Uni was that small relative to its peers in the UK.

This is one of the appeals at StA. Smaller than their competition in Scotland and most of the UK.

Add the small town component and you will get to meet so many people over your four years. Truly a great place. My son had a blast.

It is the smallest class of any of the t20 UK unis. But it doesnt mean you wont have a class of 300 in year 1. But yes, honors years are tiny classes.

Of which 20% will be American. At Oxford only 1.7% of the undergrads are American.
