Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)

The problem of illegal immigration is not solely the fault of our schools. The New York Times editorial board puts this on employers, and our government, for not enforcing laws to hire legally. Many people on this board also need to take a long look at who they are hiring to watch their children, clean their homes, mow lawns, cater their events, home maintenance, etc... are you also contributing to the problem of keeping illegal immigrants here with cash payments and no questions asked? I'm just saying that we can't have it both ways: complaining about illegal immigration while underpaying immigrants to do jobs we don't want to do or don't want to pay a good wage for. This is happening up and down the employment chain, so to speak.

You are totally right. People must demand immediate safeguards from criminals in our schools. |
Exactly, no solutions for all the other 200+ rapes per year in Montgomery county. Head in the sand about the fact that 1 in 10 girls are raped by their boyfriends (or somebody they know) in high school. We don't want to mess up our white boys' future.

Which is as common as being struck by lighting. Your daughter is more likely to be battered or sexually assaulted by her boyfriend or somebody she knows. |
Which rape in a Montgomery County high school has been ignored?? NONE. Enough is Enough. |
| In my line of work, we would categorize these men as "military-aged males." Believe me, even if we want to help displaced, refugee CHILDREN, there is no good reason for 18-20 year old men from troubled countries and unknown backgrounds to be mingling with our teenage girls. Those guys are just going to bring trouble, one way or another. |
You don't have a daughter in MC high school if you don't know the real threat is the guy that picks her up in a fancy car, drives wasted and consumes drugs with her. |
Makes one wonder how much outrage it would generate if the suspects were two white boys from Flower Valley. |
Wow. such a strawman argument. Those are the best when you are delusional. |
You are joking right!?!?! This is the only high school student raped in all of the Montgomery County ... every? There are rapes reported every week. Why don't you know this? |
|
I don't think you know what a strawman is, you used the word incorrectly here. |
Did he come here when he was 18? If not, then he was not an adult when he came here. But, I do agree, no 20 year old should be in HS with a 14 yr old. And I love how that PP makes a distinction between the "nice" 20 year old HS student with an illegal immigrant 20 year old. A 20 year old is a 20 yr old as far as age is concerned. And if you think an 18 year illegal immigrant is the only one raping a teen girl, you are deluded. Lots of "real" American 18 year olds rape girls, and I bet some even have taken place in schools. I'm not advocating for open borders, but I still don't understand how mcps could have forseen that an 18 year old illegal immigrant would end up raping a girl given that many such 18 yr olds have never done so. If we make the assumption that having an 18 yr old freshman is not good, then that should be a blanket statement, regardless of document status. Plenty of teens from so-called "nice" families have done bad things, so an 18 yr old freshman from a "nice" family is no less a danger than an illegal immigrant 18 yr old freshman. |

All you libs can sit back and keep arguing how MC and MD need to be a "sanctuary city" so illegals have a safe place to call home, but when shit like this happens, you can't then be "outraged".
It is one or the other. If the police can't report a CRIMINAL who is in this country illegally, and that CRIMINAL knows it, what do you think that CRIMINAL will continue to do? This kid was already tagged to be deported, but in his sanctuary city, he knows he isn't going anywhere fast. Why not rape some poor 14 year-old kid whose life has now been changed forever? |
