Oh so weird I THOUGHT HE WAS INNOCENT?!!

(No I didn’t)

He’s totally innocent, you can tell because he left the house - he needs to go find the real killer.

This case vs others:
The issue with this case is that there is a rich digital trail the couple kept publicly available. For the vast majority of disappearance cases, there are not many pieces of public-facing evidence for the public to parse through and discuss.

I encourage everyone to check out WebSleuths. They cover soooooo many cases and try to put the pieces together.

What websleuths cases have good discussions but have an ending? I hate not knowing what actually happened!

I think the last IG post with Gabby holding the pumpkin and saying, “ happy Halloween “ is an important clue because didn’t the couple say that they intended to end their van life trip in Oregon around Halloween

So, if Gabby posed for this photo in late August and if she posted it , not Brian , that might mean that she was saying basically, “ Halloween in August “ IOW “ the trip is over ….Van life is over “

Or whoever posted that photo is saying that

So, either Brian got back to the van and found a note from Gabby making it unequivocal that she had left - or signed herself into a psych ward or something - something that would make it clear that there is no point looking for her ( maybe they talked by phone ) and so he drove home . When she didn’t return to her parents - remember she had chosen to go live with Brian’s family - so if they break up that means she has to go home to her parents and maybe , just maybe she didn’t want to do that . So maybe she told Brian she was going home , but never did.

Maybe Brian left his house to take the heat off of his parents . Didn’t his sister post an open letter in NYT saying she had not spoken to Brian since Sept 1st

It’s clear that both of these young people were unstable and , yes, Brian’s default was to get in the van and go his own way - or go off camping alone and leave her in the van . She is completely dependent on him and his family - has allowed herself to become so , which no one seems to think is weird of her parents to allow . Just saying I think there is more to this story .

Why did Gabby’s parents allow her to move in with Brian’s family ? Why can’t she stay on her own or with her own family , go to college, start a career path ? Why is she not finding those supports at home ? Something isn’t right there .

So, of course, Brian defaults to treating her like a basket case and goes back and forth between using her for her van and trying to do his own thing and leaving her in the van and trying to go off and do his own thing until - it seems- they tried to make a fake IG Happy Ending “ Happy Halloween “ “ the end “ post , but no one gets it

Maybe she posted that and went off somewhere or was committed somewhere or maybe he posted after killing her - IDK , but bottom line : don’t quit your job, team up with an unemployed bf who also has no job and go be homeless together living out of your vehicle for months on end with no purpose other than pretending for others that your life is GREAT

Lots of 20 somethings struggle - the best way through those years - get a job, have a routine , form a small group of friends you trust and whatever you do DO NOT become emotionally dependent on ONE person - other than yourself, that is

Shorter 8:14 : I now realize Brian killed her but refuse to stop defending him and blaming her, for some bizarre reason

Another post on all the things she did or didn’t do or her parents did or didn’t do that make it their fault she has disappeared and not the fiancé that turned up without her, with no explanations. If she left a note why didn’t he give it to the police? Why is he still remaining silent when everyone is asking where she is and he has proof she left in her own?

Apparently that family never feels a need to report anyone missing.

Despicable. I cannot believe they did not report him at least on Wednesday. Hopefully they are charged too.

Charged with what? The police Chief already said they do not have evidence a crime has been committed and no one has been charged with anything. The parents don’t have a legal obligation to tell the police where their son is or when he left, or anything at all

In the middle of an investigation while they’re trying to get a statement from Brian, the parents do not disclose to police that he has been gone since Tuesday. Obstruction of justice.

8:14 is loco. She is the type of person who writes fan letters to murderers in prison. Innocent people don’t hide and run when the supposed love of their life is missing. They just don’t. Even when we were dating, if I had gone missing, I guarantee my husband would have called police immediately and remained in the local area to help with the search, as all non murderers would have done.

Why is all this heat being put on her parents for not controlling her more? She was 22 and not a child. She was engaged and living with her fiancé. Totally reasonable scenario.

Let’s discuss why Brian’s parents didn't report her missing when he showed up at home without her. Their first instinct is to get a lawyer? That’s seems totally normal!

Not a totally relatable scenario at all. Did she even go to college? Did her fiance? And living out of a van is what the homeless do. Its ridiculous that this newest generation is making it acceptable but TETO.

That’s your DC elitism speaking. Not everyone goes to college. Who’s to say she wasn’t going to go after she returned?

Also, Thousands of people tour/Road trip/camp/backpack the US in a van or RV every year. Doesn’t make you homeless. It’s not just for millennials.

My friend from high school didn’t go straight to college and screwed around for a couple of years. She followed a minor league baseball player to spring training in Canada. She lived with me for a bit. Worked at hooters. She’s now the CFO of a small bank and making 450k.

You are so dam snobby and judgey.

To Each Their Own.

I’m still not convinced it’s not a stunt for likes

How does Laundrie hitchhiking by himself fit in? I'm perplexed by what this means. Perhaps Petito had the van, then somehow he got the van from her, hurt her, then drive to FL.
